What is the problem with your sago that you are wanting to put epsom salt on it? If the fronds are yellow then it is definitely a nutrient deficiency.

Tom Broome is a cycad expert and he states: "The key element is Manganese (which is not to be confused with Epsom Salts which is Magnesium). However, when certain elements are used at high concentrations, they can lock up other minor elements. There is a direct relationship between Manganese and Iron. There are many people who grow palms that have noticed their palms getting a Manganese deficiency after using a fertilizer high in Iron as the only added minor element. We have added enough Iron to help with this balance. "

So if you are having these issues you may want to look towards your fertilizer as the culprit.
