There should be no such mention as to the "color" of artists when having awards shows (Black music awards) this only fuels racism, things need to change to truly put an END to racism. People must forgive and move forward of their great, great, grand parents past and accept that here today- it HAS CHANGED and all are equal, and STOP using history to breed more racism by acting as though people are OWED preference, or boasting about their race and status. Their great great grandparents if alive today would NOT want racism fueled by their sacrifice, but if asked would want change to come out of it so it was not in vain, it's time to let go and move forward and REMOVE COLOR STATUS FROM EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE!! what is your take on this issue?

It's true that when blacks accept status at music awards by themselves, and not with other races, they chose to hold it to a one race ONLY requirement and to have it called "black" is dividing ALL races. Please understand, hate is a breed, it stems from holding on to wrongs of the past and not forgiving and moving on. Everyone knows this, if you feel you are owed or carry resentment from a wrong done to your great great grandparents over 142 years ago, then you have not learned anything and are being ignorant and racist yourself.

Racism and discrimination (not just blacks) will never end, no one will always like everyone, we are all being singled out at one time or another, including me, and the over 40 crowd, try finding a new job when your over 45 and you will see what I mean, there are agr requirements in the military, jobs, everything, there is discrimination of all types everywhere and it will not end. BUT it can not be connected to the incidents of 142 years ago and used as a basis to hold SINGLE RACE ONLY EVENTS, see my point?

slavery might have ended, but prejudice and withholding of rights has not ended yet. people of color are still being discriminated against so we have to legislate their fair treatment. it would be nice if we didn't have to do that. everyone should be treated the same, but lots still don't see everyone as being equal.

the fact that you even asked this question just proves how ignorant you are. IM BLACK and overall ive never had to face too much racism and most of my friends are other races... prejudice and injustice is still alive and well. and if you honestly think my ancestors would want me to remove color from everything everwhere - you definitely arent comprehending the struggles minorities face in this country and the world in general. id never want ppl to forget im black - dont let that sway your thoughts and opinions of me, of course not - but forget my race? forget the struggles that my ancestors went through and the major problems still existing today? i guess its easy for someone white to say that (if you are in fact white) plz dont be so naive - theres a lot of racism in this world! things like blk music and acting awards etc. are there because black ppl who do accomplish things in society are usually overlooked or ignored. if we had true equality (not just legislative but mental equality and an absense of racist stereotypes in media and society) then we wouldnt need special programs and groups for blacks hispanics asians etc. everyday minorities are reminded that white is great white is good white is better..i guess we kind of need these programs to remind us that we can accomplish the "american dream" or whatever. minority based programs arent hurting anyone out there - they acknowledge important ppl in various communities. the purpose isnt to divide anyone and if you think otherwise then you have some self analysis to do...in fact- why the hell would minority based programs make you angry...that raises a few questions about you.....

that's a distinctive yet thrilling question. we do and we don’t. we omit the dissimilar better programming they did such because of the fact the hot international Order attitude interior the initiating or the phenomenal bouts featuring Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit. although, we don't omit the disaster of the corporation that we observed interior the later years. WCW ran its direction and finally died because of the fact it became poorly controlled. If the corporation have been ran better shall we ok be observing WCW programming now rather of WWE.

segregation ended about 40 years ago.... prejudice still lives on. So why do we still let hate groups like the KKK adopt a highway? heck! why do they even exist?

Don't even get me started......... white people are the ones who started this whole "race division" bull sh*t. What you see today is only a by product of what you guys created.

Sorry :) you can't wish it all away now.

EDIT: Black peoplw till get over it..... when they get over it!..........so you get over it!

We can't claim like that. Though it is said, slavery has deep roots in our mind and intellect. Every one is proud of himself and don't like other to come on equal level. There are very few who promote others to grop up and even more. It is mentality of every one to search proper social, cultural and racial security and out of this he tries to cling to his race. Relationship will also be within that much sphere only. It is natural. But to be more generous, open hearted and open minded, we have to welcome others thinking that though their look and culture / nation is different, they are like me and are mine. I belong to them and they belong to me. This attitude and way of thinking will burry the problem you have raised.
