Odds are that you either turned on the "hide" feature, or you accidentally shrunk the bar to only one pixel in depth.

Start by pressing the the key with the Windows logo. That the bar is "hidden', that will force it to appear. If it does, right click on an empty part of the bar, select Properties from the bottom of the menu, and then uncheck the "AutoHide" box (second one in menu)

If the start menu appears, but you still have no taskbar, then you shrunk it. You accidentally got the cursor on the edge of the bar and dragged it down, making the bar so thin you can not see it.

You will have to move your cursor around at the very bottom of the screen until you manage to get it over the very thin taskbar. When you do, it will change to a two-headed arrow. Press and hold the mouse button and drag it up. That should increase the size of the taskbar until you can see it again.

Once you have the bat restored, you can right click on it, and on the menu check the "Lock the Taskbar" option. That will make it so that the taskbar can not be move, shrunk, etc in the future without first removing that lock. Prevents you from accidentally hiding it in the future.

you might have it on hide mode accidently ,try holding the cursor down bottom of screen for like 3-4 seconds,,it should pop up by then,,if not go under your properties for desktop settings and go through it until you find the box to check to make it appear,,,if all fails resore it to an earlier dat that you remember it being there,,,good luck

email me with the specifics (on my profile) and I'll try to help. I need your Operating System (Windows...?) and specifically what happened that made it disappear.
