In my opinion chihuahuas are easy to train if you get them as a pup and you see both parents and see if they are kind of smart and if they are then you will have no problem training them . when i got my baby his daddy was so smart and sweet I knew I would not have a problem training him and never have to this day . good luck and i hope I helped.

This easiest dog to raise is one that fits your life style. If your are a high energy, athletic type, then a lab, setter, boxer or other high energy dog that could run with you would be best.
If you are a couch potato, a lap dog such as a pug would be best. This type of dog would sit with you and require very little exercise.
No matter what type of dog fits you, get it from an animal rescue organization. I have two loving dogs that are both from shelters. There isn't enough money to pay the love that they show me.

None are 'easy'- all require much time, money and attention (as well as patience!). But if you're looking for easier, stay away from stubborn breeds like terriers, or dogs known to have dog aggression like pits, rottis etc (nothing 'wrong' with them, just take a more dedicated owner to ensure they are socialized properly). Try looking up breeds on www.dogbreedinfo.com.

Depends on your lifestyle, What is easy to one person might be hard for another.
My husband and i do a lot of running and excersize so our husky and collie x pups are easy for us, but some one that works 24/7 would have really hard time and a distructive dog if they chose the same breed.
Labs are good family dogs.
you need be bit more persific, Do you work? or have kids young or older?
If you want a dog that just wants to sleep all day, you don't want a working dog.
There so many diff breeds to suite all different types of people.
Good luck on your search. x

I have 3 small dogs. Two shi tzu crosses and a purebreed shi tzu. Although the purebreed is loyal and loveable and gentle, he is the dumbest dog I have ever owned. I have had him over 3 years and love him dearly and will keep him forever, but I can see where some people would loose patience with them. First, he ate his poop for about 2 years. And 2nd, we are still working on house training him (hopefully in a year or two he will "get it"). I wouldn't recommend a purebred shi tzu unless you are willing to deal with the issues endlessly!

An older dog. One that has been trained and wants to enjoy its retirement on your couch.
