No. Particularly these days, when people have sexual relationships without being married. For a man and woman to even get engaged in the first place, there's going to be some love there. I think it is probably a rare instance where the couple is really trading his money for her avalibility, although I think the girls on "Who wants to marry a millionare" would probably qualify.
If men in our current society wish to have sex with someone, all they have to do is go to a local bar, buy a girl a few drinks, then head back to her place for a hook-up. If that's his goal, why would he spend thousands of his own dollars, loads of time, etc., to bother being married? I think it is the liberated, "let's have casual sex but you don't even know my last name" girls who are the new prostitues in our society. Marriage is just a legal way of saying, "we're going to take care of each other". The fact that there is usually sex involved in a marriage does not mean that it's the whole point. Besides, how would you define a marriage where the wife makes more money? Is he a "prostitute" then?
After two different couples are intimate, one woman says to herself, "Will he call me ever again?" The other woman says, "I've got to remind him to pick up junior from soccor practice tomorrow." Which one sounds like a hooker to you? The one who wonders if the man she shared her body with will see her again, or the one that is counting on his active, loving presence in her life?

Maybe as it once was, but nowadays people are usually more concerned with finding a loving partner, rather than someone to take care of them in exchange for sexual favors. Not, mind you, that no one looks for a sugar daddy/momma anymore, but it's a lot rarer.
I don't know what to say about women liking married men more. It is true that people in relationships do find they get hit on more, whether they're a guy or a girl. Maybe they're just more comfortable around whichever gender they're attracted to, and people are responding to that confidence. It's not so fraught anymore, 'cause they already got someone.

Well, since many women work outside the home, they are getting a bad deal as prostitutes. Sex is supposed to be something both partners do to please each other, not a commodity a wife uses to keep a husband. Some wives actually want more sex than their husbands. Remember the landlord's wife on Three's Company? All people are different and have different sexual needs.

No - marriage is a partnership between two people who want to partner together to make an established and long-term life for themselves, their family and their community. Sex is just a tiny component of marriage.
Honestly, the very question is either fairly insulting or fairly ignorant. You must have no real concerp of what a marriage is, or you witnessed some very poor behavior as a child.
Hope life looks up for you and your perspective broadens as you age. I have faith that it will.
Peace ;-)

Of course not !
Marriage is a commitment that 2 people make to each other , vowing to be faithful to each other whatever the circumstances of life .
Unfortunately , in this day & age this vow is not taken as seriously as it should be ....it's all to easy to walk away when the going gets tough or the lust starts to fade .
If you think about it , living together outside of marriage is more like institutionalised prostitution !

No marriage, is a partnership between two people to make a home and a life together. Both people may work outside the home or one may stay at home to maintain it. They provide companionship, comfort, and support to each other. It is a mutual partnership.

No, it is a legal contract between 2 people. It is also a safe place to be when all is right with the couple. Both get the love and companionship they seek.

It depends on the people concerned and of each and everyone's understanding of marriage.
In some cases, marriage is institutionalized prostitution.

Sure, to some people who would rather be thrown off a balcony than get married. But it's best to keep that opinion confined to people who share it with you. The majority of the people you know will not want to hear it.

Marriage is what you make of it. Sadly a lot of people enter marriage for the wrong reasons or turn it for the worse along its course.
