I have been trying to download a film on Limewire and it just aint happening. It's status has been "connecting" for the past hour. I'm starting to get really angry, please help!!!

FYI Telling me to get rid of Limewire isnt helping me download my film!!!!

This happens to me sometimes and my friend too. Basicaly limewire doesnt wana download simetimes lol. So all you do is disconnect and then connect again reopen limewire and it shud work. Alternatively you could switch ur pc off then switch it on again and reopen it again it shud work, it decides to download sometimes and sometimes it doesnt lol

You are not alone. Of late I have this problem with files that show 99 hosts available but status shows "connecting" for ever. Try closing the download and try again later. Me..I just try once more and then decide to forget the particular if still doesn't work. Case in point is the search for tv series "Twenty Four" which is now virtually impossible to download. Perhaps try Limewire FAQ/Help to see if there is a solution in the forum.

I have that problem also,when l go to download and it won't straight away l stop the download and try again,if that fails l shut limewire down and start it again,l only do that a couple times if it won't work then l give up,like someone said it depends if that person is still on line,I find that some days are better then the other depends on who's on line at that time and if you or they have have broadband,

Limewire is a peer2peer site which relies on the music from other users hard drives. I think the problem is that the user you're trying to download the track from is offline, the user has to be online for you to download the file. The more hosts available the more chance you have of downloading the file.

So your angry that you can't illegally download a file? Limewire if famously full of nasties.. and is best left well alone.
If you must download dodgy files then try bit torrent and visit mini nova or the like.
You can search most available torrent sites from http://scrapetorrent.com/
better still go to hmv and buy the dvd

Firstly download http://www.torrentspy.com Type in axxo you will find a huge selection of downloadable movies of 1st class quality. Or a film of your choice,but the quality is not always ok with these. Then dowload http://www.utorrent.com to download it to your hard drive then burn it with your normal burner. As Charlie above says,it can take a long time, so I do it overnight. Possibly 8/10/12 hours

I think most people have problems with Limewire. It's more bother than it's worth and you'd be better off getting rid of it.

that means that they are trying to connect with the computer that has the file you want. Limewire is probably having troubles connecting with the other computer because possibly a firewall is blocking there connection.
the only solution is too keep waiting or to give up.

I assume that you are using a broadband connection? It would take forever and a day on dial-up!!
Films are likely to be large files so it will take a long time to download even on Broadband.

whilst downloading iTunes, in basic terms be effective you're downloading the superb version of the utility. Apple makes a separate version for Mac and abode windows. If that still would not artwork, try deleting and re-downloading the utility.
