People are individuals with individual needs. Churches are a way to worship God. Everyone has different needs. When all Churches come together Jesus will come back.

Why should they unite into one super church? How would that be better.

Also, I should mention the fact that The Inquisition was mainly Catholics killing another kind of Catholics (2 million of them). And don't forget about all the denominations of Buddhism. It isn't just Christianity.

They don't know how. Many churches reject the teachings of other churches and there is no way to reconcile them. They are irrevocably disunited and splintered.

Because many christian preachers are not teaching bible based doctrines, ie. Mormans, Jehovahs Witnesses and many more that do not teach the trinity.

It all boils down to authority. If all the denominations were to submit to the authority of the pontiff of Rome, all would have settled!
