I wish to travel around Switzerland. Zurich is the first stop. Pls let me know if Swiss pass is available in Switzerland or do I need to get one before I fly there? Thanks.

it is better to buy the Swiss Pass at the airport (it's in the separate building that houses the shops and trains). there is a ticket office on the lower level... there's not as many people there usually. if you wait and go to the Hauptbahnhof, you'd have to go to the special reservation office, and there's going to be more people, and they use a number system (meaning you'd have to wait). Swiss Pass will be the same price whether you buy it in the US or in Switzerland.

1. How does Swiss youth Pass works? I am hoping I will get it at the airport( read in few posts).and 4 days pass will be fine for me. If you're under 25 (I think), it's a pass you can use on any regular train, boat, bus, etc in Switzerland. It's only for 2nd class. If there's a three-day one, get that, since you're leaving at 5am on Day 4. 2. Once I have the Swiss youth pass, do i need to book tickets in advance for traveling to Interlaken, Bern, Lucerne, Geneva or i can just board any train any time? Any regular train any time, for some of the special tourist trains, reservations are recommended. 3. How does the mountain train works? Do i need to book them in advance or can collect tickets at the stations. In my experience, rarely a need to book, especially if you're traveling alone. If you want the panorama cars, you must book. (Not all trains have 2nd class panorama cars) 4. What are the places of interest? uh, the mountains. How about Titlis? 5. I heard alot about Interlaken. Please suggest me, how may days i should spend there? Zero. You may spend approx. 7 minutes there if you want to go to Jungfrau (very nice, but also one of the more expensive trains), change trains in Interlaken. 6. Do i need to keep a check on temperature as well? Should I bring some warm gloves N jackets? I personally wouldn't bother with gloves, a warmish jacket if you're going up one of the higher mountains (Matterhorn, Jungfrau) wow, lots of thumbs-downs. What, everyone's an Interlaken fan? Forget the cities, nothing in Switzerland compares to London. Don't neglect the lakes, especially the Brienzersee. (one of the Laken that Interlaken is Inter) You can't go wrong in Graubunden.

They are available in Switzerland, but you may find that they're cheaper to buy before you leave.
If you do decide to leave it until you arrive in Zurich, I'm sure you will be able to make the purchase at the airport. Not that I've ever been to Zurich, but on transferring landside at Geneva you walk straight in to a Tourist Desk, and I'd think it will be much the same at Zurich.

You can buy it from any train station. There is one in the lower ground of the airport. Let me know if you need a hotel room as well. I have a voucher for 4 nights stay in a suite for 2P with half-board for a reasonable price. I live in ZH so I don't need to use it. Enjoy your stay here.
