Proof? There is no proof where religion is concerned. There is only evidence. And yes, I do have evidence:
1. The tomb WAS empty. The guards who were sent to stand in front of the tomb were not executed for "falling asleep." The story that went around right after it happened was that the disciples came and stole the body. What would they want with a body that was already decomposing? After three days, especially in the heat, the stench would have been UNBEARABLE.
2. After the crucifixion, the disciples scattered. Suddenly, a few days later, they were claiming that Jesus had risen from the dead. Almost every one of them died horrible deaths claiming that.
3. What did the disciples have to gain from lying?
4. What else would have caused hundreds, if not thousands, of Jews to convert to Christianity, even when it meant that they would be persecuted and perhaps even disowned by their families?
5. Why did no one at the time the Gospels were written claim that it was all lies?
6. Why was it even important enough to be written down? Even the history of Alexander wasn't written down until five hundred years after his death. Why did those who were WITNESSES to all that had happened think it was important enough to be recorded in writing?
7. Why did Paul give up his position, and convert so suddenly?
8. Why did so many of the first Christians choose to die horribly rather than recant?
9. Why did other secular writers think it was important enough to be recorded, especially considering how much was happening at the time?
10. What would have given the disciples the COURAGE to say that Jesus was who He said He was, if He had just been some guy that was executed? Jesus Himself said that He would rise from the dead. If He hadn't, that would have made Him a liar.

Many people say that the Gospels aren't reliable. Why do they say this? They were written by WITNESSES. Isn't witness testimony reliable? In a courtroom, it's considered reliable. Why not in this case?

I could go on about this forever, but I don't think it would do much good.

Because all Jesus' disciples except one (John) died horrible deaths rather than deny Jesus. John was sent into isolation against his will to the island of Patmos. Now why would these people do all this if Jesus died there on the cross and not rise again like He said He would. I would not die for someone or something I knew to be untrue. They saw Him resurrected. There's your proof.

Proof? We don't need no stinkin proof! (Sorry couldn't help myself)

The proof is that I believe it. Archaeologists will never find His tomb. The Holy Spirit is in the world today, holding down the fort, so to speak is ever present with power to draw men to Jesus. Once God' Holy Spirit is removed, you'll get your proof.

They do not have proof that he ever lived.

There is no physical or contemporary historical evidence of any kind that anyone named Jesus, or anyone that could have been Jesus, ever lived. There is no description of what Jesus might have looked like from anyone who would have been alive to see him at the time Jesus was supposed to have lived. Similarly, there is not one word he might ever have spoken that was written down by anyone who could have been there.

There is no record of a city, town or village called Nazareth until the 1st century A.D. It is not even mentioned in the detailed list of all the in towns in Galilee compiled by the historian Flavius Josephus; nor is such as place ever mentioned in the Old Testament.

There is no mention of Jesus, or anyone like him, in the records of Jerusalem or of the personal or official papers of Pontius Pilate (or any other Roman official). Similarly, there is no record of a crucifixion that could have been that of Jesus. The supposed darkness that fell upon the earth at the time he died was not mentioned by anyone anywhere on the planet, including Jerusalem itself.

If Jesus did live, no one at the time thought his live worth noting or documenting. If he was crucified in Jerusalem, no one seems to have cared, or even noticed.

There was nothing – not one word – written down by any witness of any event in the life of Jesus. Nor are there any records of numbers of people converting – or even going to see someone who could have been Jesus.

If you are aware of a witnessed first-hand account of any event in his life, you will be the first person to produce such evidence – and I will be the first person to buy your book.

What proof do you want? the people themselves saw Jesus after the resurrection and passed this knowledge on until it was written down for posterity, you do not dismiss the lives of other famous people such as Ghengis Khan or Julius Caeser just because you never knew them personally.
Every day believers feel the power of the risen Christ in their lives and until you become a believer you cannot understand this.

besides he has saved me (Matthew 18:11, Luke 19:10) , chosen me (John 15:16), and loved me (John 3:16)?
After all I am not a Biblical character.

Yes, I do...He Lives in my heart and I "Know" He is there. No ifs' ands or buts...about it.

If there were NO Bible I would still Know it was true for I have The Holy Spirit teaching me about Him.

What conclusive proof do atheists have that he didn't.

No religion can prove that what they believe is true.

i 'll tell you a few things:There is no contradiction between two verses. Really, the raising of Isa (Jesus) has occurred. But his death will occur in the future after his descent to earth in the last days of this world. he didnt died yet...

1 - Almighty Allah said: [And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). But Allâh raised him ['Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allâh is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise. And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him ['Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allâh and a human being], before his ['Iesa (Jesus) or a Jew's or a Christian's] death (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he ['Iesa (Jesus)] will be a witness against them]. [4:157-159]

He will come back to earth before the Day of Judgement and will establish Islamic Sharia.
Allah says: {O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allâh aught but the truth. The Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allâh and His Word, ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh)[] created by Him; so believe in Allâh and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allâh is (the only) One Ilâh (God), Glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allâh is Allsufficient as a Disposer of affairs.} [4:171]

It is obvious to you that Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon him), the messenger of Allah, neither claimed that he was God nor did he approve of it. And of course Allah announced his dispensation from the polytheism of the Christians. Allah Says (Interpretation of meaning): {When God said:
"Jesus, son of Mary, have you told people, "take me and my mother as two gods instead of God (alone)", he said, "Glory be to you? It is not my place to say what I have no right (Say): And (remember) when Allâh will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allâh?' " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my innerself though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the AllKnower of all that is hidden and unseen. Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allâh) did command me to say: 'Worship Allâh, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things. (This is a great admonition and warning to the Christians of the whole world)} [5: 116, 117].
