Don't feed them skim milk. Skim milk is made from cow's milk and nature made it for cows.
Go to your pet store or a vet and get proper cat milk substitute. You don't say how old the kittens are. You may have to feed them up to every 3 hours round the clock.

Cats are lactose intolerant, so if you give them cow's milk they will have intestinal problems, which can be very serious in kittens. What they need is Kitten Milk Replacer, which is available at pet stores. Of course, this depends on how old the kittens are. If they are 4 weeks, you can get some canned kitten food, warm it slightly in the microwave and put a little in each mouth. They may or may not start to eat. Might need to mix it with the KMR since they're not used to chewing. Good Luck.

Cow's milk is not a good idea, it can cause severe diarrhoea in young kittens, and cow's milk in general does not have anywhere near their required nutrients. Skim milk is pretty useless.

Rush out and get some kitten-milk replacement formula, available from vets and all good pet shops! You'll need to feed the kittens by syringe or dropper whenever they cry for food, and wipe their bottoms with wet cotton wool after each feed to stimulate pee and poo (if they're under two weeks old) - their mother would normally do this by licking them.

No, absolutely not. Cats tend to be lactose intolerant, and the milk will give them something that looks like diarrhea, but is much worse, because they will get no nutritive value from the milk at all, but they will become dehydrated, which will kill them.

You can buy something like KMR at the pet supply store, and feed it to them with a bottle, but I warn you, you will be feeding all the time. Kittens must be bottle fed 4X per day, and if you multiply that by the number of kittens, you are going to be a busy person. Another thing you can do is see if you can find a mommy cat (through a rescue group or a friend) who is nursing but who has lost some of her babies or has a small litter. You can take your babies to her and introduce them to her one at a time. Smear just a little unsalted, softened butter on each kitty before you introduce it to her. When she licks the butter off, she will introduce her scent to the baby, and accept it as her own. Usually she will then let them nurse.

KMR is expensive in the amounts you would have to purchase it. So if you decide to feed the babies yourself, you might want to make the following formula.

In a medium of Lactase low fat milk (lactose-free milk), maybe a cup, add two raw egg yolks (never, ever the raw white, which they cannot digest), half of a crunched-up human multivitimin, completely dissolved in a little of the milk, and a tablespoon of non-chunky, canned cat food. Mix it up completely, even buzz it in the blender if you can. Then fill the kitten baby bottle with it. Heat some water in a small plastic container in the microwave until it is good and hot, but not boiling, set the bottle of formula in it until the formula is just tepid, lukewarm. And feed your babies.

Remember that every bottle fed baby takes in air, and kittens are no different. You will have to burp them after you feed them.

If you wind up feeding these little guys, you will come out of the experience with a healthy respect for mamma cats, believe me.

And also -- right after they finish with their bottle, they will pee. So set them down in the litter. As soon as they pee, they will nap.

No, there is a milk supplement made for kittens. You can find it at a pet store or Walmart. Regular milk doesn't give the kittens the vitamins they need and it can cause urinary tract infection. You will also have to get a small bottle to feed them with you can purchase that in the pet food aisle also.

Pet stores have milk replacement made for cats. That is the best option.

I once raised four golden retriever puppies (mother had 16 puppies and couldn't feed them all). Back then, the vet gave us a formula to make at home. I believe it was canned milk (not the sweetened kind) and a little corn syrup.

Good luck. You can raise them.

No, I wouldn't give them milk. I have cats, and I know it makes them sick. Go to the vet's or pet store to get the "Baby Animal" kit. It comes with a special milk formula, and different sizes and bottles, etc. I hope you have good luck with those kittens of yours! :)

Is mother coming back eventually? If she is just off chilling somewhere she knows what she is doing, she'll come back when she is ready to feed them.

If she is gone forever then you should take the kittens to the vet to find out if somethin is wrong with them.

Similac would prolly be better - skim milk is just
colored water without fat content - which is energy for for a kitten

A pet store may have a better solution
