What is needed is enlightened knowledge of the Scriptures through the Holy Spirit. Both the ignorant and enlightened may be sincere, but some are sincerely wrong.

Superstitious means make-belief, not true. Sincere means being true with your emotions. Well, I for myself do pray sincerely yet I do have beliefs that for me are true and really happening, but others look at me as psychologically troubled and what I do is superstition. Perhaps you are not a Christian, so you look at us superstitious. Your religion and culture affect you somehow. In any place in this world, whatever religion or race, we are sometimes sincere and not.

There's no trade-off between the two. A person can be both superstitious and sincere at the same time.

Sincerity is when you have honesty; superstitiousness is when you believe one thing can affect another without any actual causation between the two. (like breaking a mirror bringing bad luck)

yeah, there is definitely a difference in personalities. People who are sincere would be good people anyway, they just like the rallying point religion provides. People who are superstitious would be closed-minded jerks anyway, they just feel better with supposed divine authority behind their beliefs.

If you mean the difference between those who believe because they are scared of the consequences versus those who believe because of the rewards, I think the difference is in the greater level of self-delusion that the sincere have.

Superstitious people are generally more since, if you mean sincere to be "belief".

However, if you mean sincere to be "truly loving God" (not pretending - see Mat 7:21-23), then scripture answers better than I can (since they are the words I personally prefer):

1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

and this leads to:

1Jn 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

In summation, whomever is sincere keeps God's commandments. I hope that this answers your question.

What?? I don't understand your question. Sincerity has nothing to do with superstition.
