For Example, during the 1930's Eugenics was the big deal, I t was beleived that mentaly handicapped people, and the like should not be allowed to breed. Hundreds of scientists supported the theory,it had the suport of the national academy of sciences, and American medical association, and the national reserch council..Germany took it further ,and put the theory to practice., Jews where considered as inferior, and millions died as a result.
Some where some one has a hidden agenda,, News reports about Global warming are beginning to have us beleive it is more than a theory..As if mere man can effect the weather ??

Yes, as if a mere six billion people burning oil and coal 24/7 could affect the earth. Next thing you know, people will be telling you that until CFCs were banned, people were causing the hole in the O-Zone layer! Never mind that the hole shrunk dramatically, that's just the liberal media again.

I think they are. All some unprofessional scientists that haven't gotten a book published or finished valid research want to do is overly alarm everybody on threats that do not exist - at least in the present. Global warming? I believe that humans do not use science in a way that would help mankind in the future. Our society is selfish and self-centered and the greed out there is almost unreal. We need to concentrate on today and not just ourselves and our desire for more and more money. After all, what is money? In America it is a piece of paper with a string running through it and it has absolutely no value. We have no gold standard and NOTHING to back up our legal tender. I think that fact is much more important than is global warming!

I saw a TV program recently where in order to accomplish a goal, a diversion was created to pull people's attention away from the villains so they could set about their task. It's my belief that the same is being done here. I agree with you that somewhere there is an agenda, and if the villains can keep us so preoccupied with some sort of nonsense, they can accomplish their goals without so many eyes upon the real issues. As unfortunate as it may be, when we hear these claims that the sky is falling, we need to get into the habit of looking the other direction to see what's really going on.

Global warming is the biggest environmental issue these days and is NOT a big theory. In fact, it's already manifesting itself even years before. As a consequence, global climate change is taking place.
Take, for example, the summer heat these days. Before, it wasn't as hot. Now, it's different. The summer heat is a heat wave. That's one example.
Another would be Hurricane Katrina that struck the United States in 2005. That was a result of global climate change caused by global warming.

Here are some other points to consider: Has the reduction in suspended particles e.g. soot actually allowed more heat in resulting in an even higher termperature for the current CO2 level. The earth is on track to eventually enter another ice age. Since the beginning the C02 level has trending downwards and occasional splikes (this one due to man) but eventuall all the CO2 getting sequestered into rock and goes underground. If we could prelong the relatively warm temp now by more slowly releasing CO2 from fossil fuels we would be better off. Most likely the current temperature is due to higher CO2, lower soot and higher sun output. Some good reasons to cut CO2 emissions but we could be deceiving ourselves if we think makes the air cleaner doesn't negatively affect temperature or that by reducing CO2 emissions we will not have a temperature induced environmental crisis. "The geological record from Planet Earth tells us the lifeblood of life itself—carbon, as contained in carbon dioxide found in our atmosphere or dissolved in the oceans—has been diminishing over time. A second realization has come from astronomy, showing us that all stars grow brighter and hotter as they age. Our sun, over time—like all stars in the so-called "main sequence"—has already increased its heat output by 30 percent since its origin, some 4.6 billion years ago. "

I don't think it's dangerous, but I do think that it can help people look at ways of taking care of the earth. I don't think we have to go to extremes like some people do. And frankly, all these celebs that are preaching about hybrid cars and cutting down on use of toilet paper, maybe they should smoke a few less doobies and wake up to reality. Just start with simple things like recycling, or switching to energy efficient light bulbs, or like me, I pack my lunch is re-usable containers and I wash a lot of my clothes in cold water. It's not much, but it helps a little I'm sure. I think we all need to take notice of our planet and make sure that our kids and grandkids and so on, will have the same resources that we do.

All the new theories have dramatic impacts on people. They start by refuting the theory and fighting it and then they accept it.
I hope that the fires burning in USA eating homes and parks help you understand what is going on. It seems that Katrina and all the other weather catastrophies did not make you see the whole truth.

Your examples are not relevant to the topic of global warming. What is the hidden agenda here? To promote alternative energy sources? To minimise the carbon based fuel and reduce the carbon dioxide emissions? To minimise the impact of human activities on the planet earth?

Enough men can affect the weather, especially if we use machines. The question of whether we have has long been settled by science. We have.
I'm not worried. We're Americans. We're technologically brilliant. There's nothing we can't do, and we won't settle for worse. Things will get better.

I think inferior people Must be exterminated or disalloud to breed. You are a weak minded person who likes to live in the past with all its ignorance. This is 200- and why do you hark back to awful years ov stupidity. Now we must be cautious and not drive cars because cars pollute In the 1930s they had no such concerns until an idiot such as you came along.
