I don't go to "church" but I go by myself to pray, meditate, think, and stuff like that. Most times in the day it will be closed and at night it's a pretty much gaurantee. Wouldn't it be nice if the doors were open 24/7.

It relies upon on the place you're. All Catholic church homes was open 24/7 so as that folk ought to stroll in and pray any time. regrettably, in recent times it quite is no longer the case, for some motives. A) the clergy are greater liberal in recent times and are greater thinking approximately human rights than they're with prayer and non secular coaching. B) there are fewer non secular Catholics, so the church homes could be open yet no one will are available to wish. which finally leads to C) human beings in on the instant's society have much less comprehend for faith and so church homes that are left open could be vandalized and issues stolen. additionally D) human beings artwork greater desirable than they used to, and girls persons artwork, and folkspersistent autos and have long commutes, maximum of Catholics regrettably have not got time to provide up in and pay attention Mass, or bypass to Confession, or pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament like their grandmother could have 60 years in the past. In Europe, Catholic church homes are oftentimes continuously open. In usa, bigger, busier church homes often are open, yet often small parish church homes would be locked, incredibly if there is no longer a clergyman residing on the valuables.

It would be nice. However, because of vandalism, robbery and other problems, our church has had to lock the doors at night. It's sad that things have to be that way. When it was open at night, people would come there to shoot heroin. After the last major robbery, the hours that the church is open to the public were seriously cut back.

The church should always be open to the public so that we can go in to pray for more blessings and be thankful to God for giving us another blessed day.

A lot of the churches used to be left open for just this reason, but there has been too much vandalism. Sad, isn't it?

A church is a building. The word says that where two or more are gathered, I will be there with you.

You can have church anywhere at any time.

I believe that when you are praying that is church. You are the tabernacle in which Jesus resides, when you are a Christian.

That used to be the rule... before "not true Christians" vandalized the churches and stole candles, communion supplies and bibles. Now, they must be locked to keep the peace inside. Sad, eh.
