I have been getting migraines frequently. I have always had them, just not this often. I used to be on ortho-lo, then changed to a generic one. I recently got back onto ortho-lo, and my migraines seem to be more frequent. I was wondering if this could be a reason & if anyone else has this problem?

Many people find that the hormones in oral contraceptives can cause headaches. Often, with pills like OTC-Lo, because the hormone levels change each week, they may have more headaches. If you've gone three months on the pills and are having headache issues still, speak to your doctor or health care provider about switching pills. They may help you choose a pill that has a different combination of hormones, which is less likely to cause headaches for you.

It takes the body 3 months (3 packs of pills) to become accostomed to them. Headaches are a side effect of any birth contol pill. My advice...give it a llittle more time if you cannot tolorate the headaches or you reach the 3 pack mark without improvement talk to your doctor about switching birth control methods. You could always try the ring, the implant ( good for 3 years) or an IUD (there are 2 a five year one and 10 year)
Good luck
PS if you do change methods make sure you use a back up plan for at least 2 weeks, a month perfered to be safe

I would see a doctor. you could have cloting. I myself had headaches when i was on the regular ortho tri-cyclen, I loved the lo but if it does not work for you i would keep trying with different kinds of birth control and see what works best for you.
