It does not. God does not put people in hell for His enjoyment or satisfaction. But having done all that there is possible for Him to do---in order to preserve His righteousness, and justice--He cannot compromise Who He is. He even paid the price of the cross.
So if someone is in hell, they are left without excuse--having rejected all that God has done for them, agree?

Knucklehead-----if God compromised Who and What he was---He would no longer be God, because He could not have the power to govern Himself---let alone all of creation. But because He is God---He cannot and will not compromise Himself.

Yes! The only way one can end up in Hell is to Deny Christ and his Sacrifice in our behalf. Those who end up there after Judgment day will have Chosen to go there by their own CHOICE to deny or accept the Savior.

disagree.

I mean from your point of view one may be inclined to agree but there are too many assumptions here. 1) the existance of hell. 2) the true purpose of hell. Note that even though most religion believe in a hell like place not all f them believe in eternal damnnation. A lot of other religion believe that you go to hell for a limited amount of time based on your crime. Then you ascend to heaven.

Another thing is the amount of time paid for the crime. If you think of how long an eternity is as compared to the life span of a human being. In comaparison our life is but a blink of an eye. So, your whole existance is based on a blink of an eye. Thats a hefty price to pay for such a small thing. This contradict the notion of an all loving God. If God is our father then the purpose of the father is to teach you a leasson about how to live. A leason sometimes can be punishment. However, the punishment should fit the crime. You don't kill your kids because they did not clean their room. You don't send your kid to exile because they got caught smokin. You teach them and help them to take the right desitions. So, again, in comparison to our lifespan and the infinity of time the punishment does not fits the crime. There fore God cannot be all loving. And there is the question, is he/she all loving or not?

Another thing is the fallacy that true religion all of the worlds problem will be soved. Nothing can be further from the truth. Now, I'm not saying that religion has not given us some good things. To the contrary, is good philosophy. However, history has showned us what happens when the church controls the people. The crusades, the salem witch trial, the Jim Jones masacre to name but a few historical events. More modern would be the middle east. They blow themselves up because they don't agree with people of a similar religion. They are abusive towards women so on and so forth. So, don't be full by the bull **** talk. There is a reason why the forefathers of this great nation decided to separate the church from the state. They knew the church was important to its citizens, but it can never be allowed to rule because it is so easy to corrupt.

Other things that people that use the you are going to hell scare tactics, forget to mention that all this notions of hell came about the middle ages. A time when the church ruled and ruled ruthlessly. Part fo the tactics of the church was to control education. Only the priest and the royalty knew how to read. This makes it easier to control the population. These are the same people that claimed that the worlds was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth and if you think differently they would burn you at the stake. These kind of people would love nothing more than a good way to keep people going to church where they could be controlled. What better way than though the horrors of hell.

Like I said in the begining, prove that hell exist and then we can talk about whether this particular God that you talk about would benefit or not from someone going to it. You can argue that it is documented in the bible, but documentation without evidence is not good enough. I mean look at the lost city of atlantis. It was documented by Homer that such a place exist yet, nobody has been able to find it. Now it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist or that it exist. What it means is that without evidence all we have is a fairy tale.

Why cant he compromise Who He Is? He's God right? He makes the rules. You seem to imply there is Something greater than God, and that Something limits what God can and cannot do, and God is powerless to overcome that Something. I'd be very afraid of doubting God's power if I were you.

God can do whatever he feels like doing, even compromising himself, if that's what he wants to do.

Amen- you answered this question just as I was going too. God does not want any of us to go to hell, that is why He gave us a choice- by sending His son into the world, to die the death that we should die, so that we can live with Him in heaven forever. I know that God must cry every time someone dies without Christ. Every time a sinner repent heaven rejoices.

Which god are you talking about here?

I claim no religion and reject the belief in any god, and my life is going on just fine without worrying about praying or attending church.

But then, you'll say he'll punish me soon for my lack of belief, right? Like he punishes thousands of other believers who have done nothing but good in this world? But then, you'll say it's because it was their time to go, right? God's plan, everyone says.

Life can go on just fine without the fear that religion brings to the world.

I understand what you're saying, but God did say that vengeance is his, so maybe he could be a little satisfying to send child rapists/murderers to hell. God does have feelings, we were made in his image.

It benefits man. If the dude goes to hell, nobody thats worth saving for heaven will have to hear from that douchebag again, and therefore nobody will ever be influenced by him.
