I find the question of "Does God exist?" to be about as trite and pointless as "Is there a teapot floating around on the orbit of pluto?" My answer is "Who cares? Where are my car keys?"

because "where are my keys" does have a specific answer than can be proven by going and looking if the answer given was true...

however,

"does god exist" cannot be proven either way

many people have trouble just defining the term god... it becomes even more difficult

remember in religious studies.... the term god is a word given to describe anything that is exemplified or worshipped as answer to things unknown... so technically anything you believe is potentially your god... it is more of how much you allow this belief to affect your lifes choices as to whether it is god or not...

now having said that... atheist would have no god... this would mean that man has explained everything to their satisfaction and they believe this story and make their decisions of life based upon it so man is god

other religions follow suit in some shape form or fashion... remember a god doesn't have to be an ancient religious idea... it can be a modern scientific one as well...

simply --- God is the belief about the unknown that you allow to govern your life and decision making

"Does God Exist" is a more important question because it's much more difficult to answer.

Usually, you'll find your keys fairly quickly, but the question of a supreme being's existence you're likely not going to get a certain answer for anytime soon.

Simple. Answer to "does God exist?" concerns everybody in a very serious way. As for where abouts of your keys, I hope you find it but that's it.

Because more people are looking for their keys than God, Funny cause God is easier to find!

Well, that would have to be debated in the household category, and since I don't live near you, how can I know, LOL.

Seriously, retrace your steps mentally, when you do, you can remember the last time you used your car keys and where you left them (it works for me about 80% of the time).

Because government polices aren't decided by the latter, sadly. Neither are people's lives and deaths, unless you're so stressed out by losing your keys you have a heart attack.

Because if God exists, he can help you find those keys. He won't... but he could. :-)

The answer to "Where are my keys" can be found much easier than "does god exist". .... complexity wins out.

Because the first answer challenges critical thinking and reasonable, logical argument. The second question is answerable to none.
