well, as long as your dad doesn't see it, i don't see why not. I mean, if you go swimming or something when your dad's around, can't you just take it out??
I would be scared of my dad finding out, but considering how your parents live separately, wouldn't it reduce the chance of your dad finding out by 50%ish? I dunno. I guess you could tell your mom that you would never really be in a situation where your dad would see your stomach, and that if he ever found out, you could tell him that your mom doesn't know about it or something.

I'm not sure how you can sway her but you should know that if you get this done before June 15 you won't be able to go swimming with it. You should never go swimming with a fresh piercing like that until it's fully healed. The chlorine and bacteria in the water can cause it to become infected. Navel piercings can take 9 to12 months to heal so going swimming less then a month after having it done is a terrible idea. If you have it done you should wait until the end of the summer to do it, that way by next summer it should be healed and you can go swimming again. Also you sound like you need to do alot more research on piercings before you have this done so you don't end up getting a bad infections or having the piercing migrate right out.

I would give her the facts which are Disney is not as hot in August and you're also saving money by going down there that month as opposed to July or June. If she keeps complaining about it being too hot then mention that you can also go in Sept (I think it might be even cheaper). Basically if you find an answer to all her concerns like saving money or preventing her from being so hot than she has no other excuses and you can find out why she really doesn't want to go and address that.

well, if you get it before june 15th for this pool party you wont be able to swim. you are not supposed to swim with a piercing that is that new. you should wait AT LEAST one month and it would be a wiser safer decision to wait till its healed. keep in mind a navel piercing takes 6-12 months to fully heal. this isnt as simple of a procedure as a lot of people think it is.
also, i wouldnt trust any piercers judgement if they were to pierce a 14yo.. even if you have a parent with you.
bottom line, your dad is the least of your issues here. think about personal safety first.

Let me get this straight: you're willing to risk your mom getting in trouble, fighting with your dad, and risking not getting to see you... just so you can look cool at a swim party?
Nice kid. Hope mine are not like you.

tell you mom that you will convince your dad and if that doesn't work you tell him you went by your self and your mom had no idea about it at all.
