Why do guys go for the whore?

OK, so more than once I have a guy tell me what they want in a girl - nice and caring, smart, funny, can help herself but can ask for help, laid back, not the jealous type, not possessive and I am all of those things. It may be hard to believe but I don't play head games and let you know whats up. I'm a strong girl who doesn't need to be saved all the time. I don't need to see the guy everyday but a phone call is nice. I believe in have mutual friends and separate friends.
So why do they say thats what they want, and that's what I am, and yet, they go for the heinous jealous *****. I have friends who treat guys like **** and yet, have guys falling over themselves for them. Part of it, they're quick to put out and are incredibly skinny. I don't put out and am not so skinny, more chubby but not huge. I think I'm a cute and a good catch but no guy can seem to see that.
Why is this? What do I have to do to get a guy to notice me as more than a friend?

I should add, I'm 20, if that makes a difference.

Guys always want what they can't have. They also take what they can get when it's offered up easily. If you want to have some fun with no strings then go for it. If you want a relationship then you will have to make them work and make them wait. Nothing wrong with either one.

I think you're making a generalization about the whores thing. I mean if you know the deal going in and all they want is sex and both parties are consenting, what's wrong with it??? And for the record, some of the best relationships I have had came from supposed "one nite stands" or people that I just wanted for sex to begin with.

If you are happy waiting, then more power to you. Stay tru to yourself. The right guy will come along that will appreciate you and all you have to offer. You are only 20, and there will be many men that will appreciate your morals, character, mind, spirit and most of all your unique body!!!

Why do guys go for the whore?

The answer is easy. Literally, the answer is easy as in they are easy. whores are easier. The type of person you describe yourself is more of the type of person a man will want to settle with. The thing is they may not be ready to settle yet so, why put up with all the hasel when you can take the easy way. Look at it like a car. Lets say you have two cars. One is an offroad car, the other one is a classic corvette. For a long time you'll want to take that off road car everywhere. Run it through the mud, bang the hell out of it and have as much fun as you can. Once you get bored of it or when the thrill is gone you can sell it. However, you don't get rid of the classic corvett. NO NO NO!!! you take care of it and cherish it. But maintaning a classic car takes a lot of work and patience. A thing that most young people don't have.

So, is all about timing and mood. You don't take a classic car offroading. You take it on a nice Sunday drive with your family. But if you are in the off road mood, why would you buy a classic?

Maybe, this is not the best analogy but it should give you an insigh into the male mind.

I disagree that guys are big sluts. Anyway, that's not the question here. Boys will follow a girls lead. If the girl wants, the boy gives. If the girl doesn't want, the boy will go somewhere else to get what he wants. Young men are not ready for serious commitments and they do need to sow their oats. They don't understand the full meaning of a quality relationship, and they really don't care. They're very self absorbed up until at least 25, and eager to find immediate gratification as some girls are too. You can't fault them, it's only nature. That's the way they're built. You'll have to be patient to find a boy that's ready to have a girlfriend. It has nothing to do with you, so keep working on school, etc, and don't worry about the boys for now.

It depends on how old you are. A lot of guys want a girl who are quick to put out mainly because the guy is immature and wants to have something to brag about to their friends. Don't worry though once guys begin to mature they begin to see what is important in a girl and will start looking for someone just like you. Just be yourself and be patient. :)

Despite what people say about smart, intelligent, funny,opinionated women, guys will always go for easy pussy.

Sex will always over ride intellect or any other features.
I have friends who are smart, wittty,etc, but they cannot compare to a hot piece of *** that walks in the door.

relax, keep in mind there are a lot of guys out there that wonder exactly the same thing about girls that keep running back to the guy that beat them up or cheated on them. Keep your self confidence and wait for a confident guy, you are young, even though you hate hearing it.

Maybe they find you to be hard to get get, so they go for the easy girls. Since you said you're a strong person, I think that might also add to one of the reasons why they choose the "other girl"... guys like weak girls, I think. They want the girls to be dependant. They want someone to spoil. That's what I notice.

Work out, get out of your head, have some fun, don't take stuff so seriously, and don't get discourged - sometimes it takes a long time to find the guy that will "get" you.
