God allows evil in the world so we can come to understand the difference between good and evil. He can and does tell us the difference, but experiencing what happens when people make good and bad choices helps us to really understand.
There are some good videos about this at

One of the best ways to be grateful for goodness is to see evil.
Evil can provide a necessary motivation for some people. It can serve as a compass letting know which way NOT to go
When people truly see evil it can cause them to have a greater appreciation for good and goodness in people. It is when things are at their absolute worst people can be their absolute best.

He didn't...
They've all died. Everyone dies. 100% chance of death at some point in life.
One time God killed Nearly everyone with a flood. They got to the point that every thought that came out of their heads was pure evil. But he spared one man and his family.
The bible says that it is God's mercy that he does NOT kill us and give us justice for constantly sinning against Him. We have all broken God's commandments. We all deserve punishment because we are all lawbreakers.
If you told a lie, you're a liar. If you stole something, you're a thief. If you look with lust, you've committed adultry in your heart. If you call someone fool, you're in danger of hell fire.
God is a Good and Just Judge. Any Good judge (like in any court) must be fair, impartial, and must punish lawbreakers. We are all lawbreakers.
God knew this. So God did something amazing so that we don't have to get justice. God became a man through Jesus Christ and he lived a sinless, perfect life. Jesus never broke any of the commandments. He never broke any laws. Then Jesus went to the cross and suffered a Terrible death.
Do you know why Jesus died. Most people don't. Jesus died so that you can be forgiven by God because his death paid for your crimes. He took your punishment so that when you stand before God in judgment you can say to God that Jesus died for MY Sins.
But to be able to do that you must do two things. You have to first repent by humbling yourself and saying you are sorry for your sins and that you'll not do them any more.
Then you must surrender your life to God and trust in Jesus as the only way for salvation. When you do this, God will promise you heaven and you can have assurance that when you die you will be granted entry in heaven.
If you have a bible read through it. Or read the one online. John is a great place to start. Make sure that you get right with God tonight because any of us may die at any time.

great question, actually- God created man to have a perfect relationship with Him. However man sinned, and that separated him for God. By man , I mean all of us. God loved us so much that instead of killing us, He sent His son into the world, to die the death that we should have died, so that we can live. God is holy and He demands justice- but He gives mercy to those who accept His Son as payment for sin. We deserved to die, but were given grace.

Why would parents let any of their kids live if they knew more then half of them would betray them and try to kill the good kids?
Because God loved all his kids, and were willing to save the ones that truly loved him and condemn the others.

God doesn't rejoice in the death of the wicked.
Ezek 33:11
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live:

Because everyone commits sins, so everyone would have to go. Even if most people think that God doesn't care about "minor" sins like adultery, God's standards are much stricter than our own.

Too many people on here think God is the world`s babysitter or sheriff. He is not. He`s given us the freedom to believe in him or not, to obey him or not, to join him in heaven or not. You are free to be good or not and you will live the consequences of your choice.
