happens same to me... from many years archeology has discovered some jesus facts that capture my attention, thins that sounds logic to me, things that make sense.
God is a concept not a fact, a personified being, a myth, something that requires faith, something that never will be proved... and that's why i prefer to know about jesus and try to follow him.
(sorry the grammar)
some agnostics agree with that and of course there are religions that are growing under that concept.

No, it is not wrong. You can start there, with Jesus. It's OK. But when you learn to know Jesus, and read about him in the holy scriptures you will soon find that it, even if not WRONG, is IMPOSSIBLE to believe in Jesus without believing in his father. He said: "I and the Father are one". They are so closely connected that you cannot believe in one without believing in the other. But it's OK to start with Jesus, just try out, and you will soon understand who his father was!

Sure it is wrong, since you ask what I think, but a lot of people do just that. They kind of appreciate the aspects of Jesus that they like, but don't see him as God.

Well, it is pointless to believe in Jesus if you don't believe in God. The bible teaches that Jesus is the Son of God. If you believe that, then it is just contradictory to say you don't believe in God. As to your last question, no, Jesus is absolutely not God. If he were, then it would make the bible full of contradictions also...such as many of the things that Jesus himself said. Here are a few examples...
John 20:17, (RS): “Jesus said to her [Mary Magdalene], ‘Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” (So to the resurrected Jesus, the Father was God, just as the Father was God to Mary Magdalene. Interestingly, not once in Scripture do we find the Father addressing the Son as “my God.”)
(John 17:3) “. . .This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” (Notice the word AND)
The following is what the apostle John wrote conderning Jesus...
(John 20:30-31) “. . .To be sure, Jesus performed many other signs also before the disciples, which are not written down in this scroll. 31 But these have been written down that YOU may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, and that, because of believing, YOU may have life by means of his name.”
Jesus is clearly the Son of God, therefore belief in Jesus would signify that belief in God follows, naturally.

Yes. While praying to his Father, Jesus said: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, AND of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ." (John 17:3)
You can't have one without the other.

I'm sure at least one person will say "yes"...but seriously, what's to "believe in" if you simply believe in Jesus? That he existed? It's not that big a stretch. His personal teachings aren't so deep as to present a real doctrine even. Good man, good teacher (people called him rabbi), but he's dead.

There are three gods and catholics also add Mary and the saints so there are many....
The theological basis of Christianity is more like a quilt with lots of pieces all sewn together to look nice.
