If you still have your tonsils, you may have what are called cryptic tonsils, which means you have little crypts or cavities in your tonsils where food sometimes collects. After it's been there for several days, you usually cough it out, and you're right, it really stinks like nothing else. If you get a flashlight and look at your throat real good, you may see a white spot or two on your tonsils. It's not cancer or anything, just weird.

long time ago when i was sick and coughing like crazy the same thing would happen to me. At times i would feel it in my throat and would gagg to spit it out. I would think it was a clump of tartar lol ew. I know exactly what ur talking about but I got no idea what it is either.

does it look like coffee grounds? (is that what you mean by "black pepper"?) could be that you have a stomach ulcer. if you do it again, go immediately to the doctor. how has your stomach been feeling? aches/pains? a stomach ulcer could be serious. to be on the safe side buy prilosec at the pharmacy and start taking this daily. this will reduce your stomach acid production and should help the situation. good luck!

I've had that randomly... i have no idea what it is but it's like little hard oddly shaped sort of round, small balls right? i wouldn't worry about it, it probably either hardened mucus or little pieces of food that weren't swallowed correctly.

It may have been just a little clump of food that was stuck in your mouth, in between your teeth. Don't worry, it's no big deal.
