Absolutely! You can volunteer at a local hospital, this will give you a birds eye view on what really goes on in the field.

You may want to talk to a career counselor in your school or even at one of the colleges you may plan to attend.

Nursing and Physical Therapist are two different aspects of the field. They both render high end pay, but the stress may differ.

I strongly suggest you avoid the vocational schools that promise you a career as a medical/dental assistant. They charge you a lot of money, and cannot guarantee you a job. If by chance they do find you one, it's very low in pay, and usually a bad work environment. Been there done that. Good luck to you and keep asking questions, that will get you where you want to be. By the way get great grades, do lots of community/volunteer work and earn a grant to school!

If you really want to have a job in the medical wold, first of all this is not a common job but more like a vocation. You have to enter a nursing school. This should be the foundation of all since you start learning physiology, anatomy and other related
subjects. During the course you will also have practice in the wards. It is so different from studying on the book and to the
actual practice in a ward. Even wards are different from surgical, medical, ENT(Ear, Nose and Throat), Ophtalmic, Orthopaedic, and others. From here you will get the idea of what a medical career really is. After or during the course you can change to other thing like Theraphist. I thing that the best thing is to start having the experience in hospital. Then it is open to you. I'm telling you this from my own xexperience and
yes you work for money but a medical career is more than that. If you already love to help others so you have the seed
in yourself. Go on. Give it a try and Good Luck

Volunteer at a hospital. And if you still don't know which you should choose, just take general studies classes and as time goes along you will make a good decision. Most students out of high school, don't know what they want to study.
