I know you have heard this before but dont worry about it. I started shaving when I was 14 and figured I was pretty manly. Now I'm 54 and have hated shaving for roughly 35 years.

Light colored hair can be part of the problem. My head hair was sandy but facial hair dark brown /red. I dont know very many guys that have heavy thick beards at age 18. Many men do not get that until they're 30. Some never do.

I would keep your face clean shaven for several more years. Then give it a month of growing and see what you think. Most guys can grow a mustache or beard in about 4-6 weeks. Until the hair lays down, it may be hard to see because of lightness of color.

Good luck, but it will come anyhow. Just takes time.

one of my guy friends said that exfoliating the upper lip gently with a cloth helped his grow in faster, also.. if its just light in color, you can dye it... other than that all you can do is be patient, it'll grow in eventually
