Don't even go there. The answer above is right on the money. Try your local shelter and maybe you'll end up with a chihuahua or even better, a dog that looks like a dog.

Try your local rescues and shelters, and make a request to see any chihuahua's that come in.
Also try http://www.petfinder.com and type in the breed/location/age etc that you want in the blue panel on the left hand side.
Consider that even once you do adopt a dog, what the care costs will be for this animal.
He will need proper food, leashes, a bed/carrier, veterinary care etc. This will also run you a few hundred dollars at the very least.
If you can't afford a $1000.00 veterinary bill for the animal should a random problem occur (and believe me it happens a lot) - consider obtaining some form of pet insurance when you adopt the dog in case any emergencies pop up.

Ummm, I would say "in your dreams." Lol, sorry, don't want to sound mean but I've never seen ANY pure breed dog for less than $200, unless you're lucky enough to find one at an animal shelter. And especially if you want a mini teacup chihuahua. Those run in the $1000's!
edit: If "teacup" (a.k.a. miniature) chihuahuas are the runts of the litter, then how come there are people that actually breed miniature chihuahuas?? The whole litter is tiny... does that mean they're all runts?? I don't think so.
I wouldn't listen to that "so-called" vet.

there are hundreds of chihuahuas looking for homes through rescues and animals in shelters. it just takes time to find the right one. good luck and remember dont breed or buy while shelter pets die!

go to petfinder.com.......this is a site for rescue groups.......just enter your Zip code, and enter breed wanted, and be AMAZED at how many GREAT choices you have !!.......i recently adopted a Great Pyrenees mix from them, and my dog Sylvester is awesome !!.......check it out.....try it.....do a good deed......adopt a Chihuahua puppy today !!!.......good luck to you, in your search for a Chihuahua puppy as a new pet !!!!.......most adoptions run between $ 50 to $ 200 maximum, for a wonderfull dog, who will be very happy to be your new pet !!!

Go rescue one from your local shelter. There are always tons of chi's coming through my shelters.

I wouldn't touch a dog that is that cheap! If they are expect HUGE vet bills because of illness. Go with a breeder that is going for the betterment of the breed not just having puppies to sell them.

you should look for a more quality dog, remember you want him with you for YEARS, your dog will not be something that you can just throw away and replace when he is not working right

your local shelter or chihuahua rescue centre might be able to tell you when a pup comes in.
theres no such thing as a "teacup" anything. they are the runt of the litter or smaller sickly animals that breeders call "teacup" so stupid people will buy them.
