I don't have reason why those "in your face" miracles do not happen today. I think miracles are there if you want to see them, and coincidences when you don't.
While I think it is true that you can fault and disbelief in the bible, if that is you agenda, I find it interesting that people miss the part that stated it will never be disproved as well.

If miracles are so impressive to you, then know that I was faith healed. I wasn't even ready for it. I could breathe properly after that.

But you! You ask why there were so many miracles in the Bible, so you've maybe read a bit? Didn't you notice the lack of miracles too? And who wouldn't Jesus perform for? Those that scoffed at it. The ones who did not believe. He refused to work miracles for them.

And then there were the Pharisees. He would make sure they were watching before he did a miracle to a hopeful person. And then he would do them. And they still didn't believe. So while your smug attention is on the lack of miracles around you, you seem to have the heart of a Pharisee. What good would it do anyway? It would be wasted on you.

The miricals of Moses were a specific set of miricals for a specific people (God's chosen people) done for a specific purpose.

The Miricals of Jesus happened because Jesus is God in the Flesh therefore He can do whatever he wants.

All miricals come from God, and there is no reason for God to perform or even reveal miricles of today to faithless people because He will not get the credit for them. They'll simply say random chance made it happen.

That's probably why you don't see miricles. But the truth is that you being alive this moment is a miricle in itself. The fact that God has given you breath is a miricle.

And the fact that God has given you another day simply demonstrates His goodness and kindness toward you. The fact that you are here on yahoo answers when the next moment you could be standing before God in judgment and then cast into the lake of fire the next moment is a miricle.

Even self righteous sarcastic snooty twits can be saved. I know because I was one before God knocked some sense in me.

What I find interesting is that there are in the bible at all. Doesn't the bible always claim the need for 'faith' over proof? And that god will not prove his existence because that would negate the need for faith?
Then why would he/she/it offer proof in the form of miracles?

43 Then said I unto her that was old in adulteries, Will they now commit whoredoms with her, and she with them?
44 Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that playeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aho'lah and unto Ahol'ibah, the lewd women.
45 And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
46 For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will bring up a company upon them, and will give them to be removed and spoiled.
47 And the company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
48 Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.
49 And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
