Has long does it take to hear back from SSI?

I'm going to be applying for SSI/Social Security in a few weeks and I want to know how long it will take to hear back from them? Also, how will they determine how much I will get monthly?

It can range from 3 to 6 months before you hear back after all the evaluations and information is in. The maxmimum benefit is $623 a month, but it can be lower depending on how much you earn a month in a part tme job. It also can be lower if you qualify for SSDI payments. Good luck!
