Amongst others, i own a desert eagle baby eagle .45acp. My barrel cracked, and i am now in search of a new one. Other than buying direct from magnum research (they want $200 for one), are there any other vendors that either sell factory replacements for less, or their own brand/version?

Should be a warranty item unless you had a squib and fired a second shot and cracked the bbl.. Check Brownells or Gun parts corporation, Numrich.

Good luck

Doc left out Brownelles too

200 clams for a barrel is not that bad.
If the gun were a 1911 or a Glock they would be cheaper since more people own those kinds of guns.

I would be knocking on the maunfacturer's door before digging in my own pockets, though.

Have you checked with Gun Parts Inc.?

Some of the other makers like Shilen, Krieger, or McMillian might be able to help you.

You should also contact Midway, those guys have an amazing number of items in stock.

Good Luck

The factory won't replace the barrel for free, under warranty?
