She'll have her fun and wild crazy party days but the nice guy will get the girl in the end? Is that what the saying means?

Well, no. It means she'll probably marry the bad boy and have an absolutely rotten marriage, but your are the kind she will be looking for the 2nd time around. To help raise the kids the bad boy won't pay for.

I'm also neither. I'm nice or I'm bad depending on the situation and my mood. I try to be a good person, but I make mistakes. I have a conscience, so I try to make things right. Overall, I'm a nice person with many flaws. I sometimes feel unappreciated, but if I let it go for too long, I know it's my own fault for not speaking up and demanding recognition. Nice guys and nice girls don't finish last. Only doormats finish last. It's entirely possible to expect respect and still be nice.

well i always used to date the bad boys, until i got beaten up for the last time(guess it knocked some sence into me!!)
i am now married(6 years) with one 4 year old son and am 34 weeks preg with a little girl,to a very wonderfull mr nice guy!
i think you should take this saying as very wise words that i assume probably came from someone that has been in a similar situation as what i have been in.you have to go through all of the bad sometimes to realise what a truly good thing is!
i feel very lucky and grateful for my nice guy!!

The saying means lots of things. But what you are preferring to i would say yes. Some women have that part of their life where they want to party or just be single to see what comes in the future. But the nice guys usally wins at the end, cause a girl isn't going to want to party or so on for the rest of their life.

you can extend the meaning of that phrase to beyond dating and makes more sense. In real life, the nice guys will be beaten (sometimes literally) by the bad guys. Even though women say they want a guy who is nice , they will not be attracted to the guy if he gets beaten by the bad guys. Such is life.

Yes that is what it means. Sometimes women date the bad boys or men who don't necessarily treat them right, but when they want to settle down and have a family, they want the nice, sweet one who will be a good husband and father. I think you said it just right.

It means that nice guys will always lose in the end. Which is, of course, not true at all.

That's not what the expression means, but more often than not, woman eventually look for the nice guy.
