Brothers:

1) Scottish Gaelic: braithrean (pronounced brahr-un)

2) Irish Gaelic: deartháracha (pronounced jrahr-uh-chee)

ch sounds like ch in Scottish loch; German auch, noch nicht.

The Irish Gaelic word is a contraction of an older Deir braithrachan meaning "Dear brothers."
