Ive done everything to my hair as well, my hair is almost black and ive dyed it to blond more than a handful of times.

I started using a better conditioner and shampoo like-redken, healthy sexy hair, L'Oreal Kiwi and keratese- not all at the same time, but have tried each one and have really seen improvement in my hair. Shampoo and condition your hair 3 times a week tops, its a hard adjustment at first but trust me it helps a lot. when you shampoo and condition all the time it never gives your hair a chance to produce oil which will help with the dryness.

i got deep conditioning and/or clay pac treatments done by Gene Juarez hair school for a while as well. now i do it every month or so.

Major key to getting healthy hair is to stop with all of it, but you already know that. especially with all the chemicals im dying to touch up my hair right now, but i also want to keep it around =p

and if you must flat iron use a good hair serum to protect your hair from the heat. I use L'Oreal exteme liss and its really good. you could never tell my hair was damaged when im done and it doesnt leave it greasy.

Stay AWAY from ALL Pantene products. I know some love them...and some hate them...I had an awful experience with them...and any hairdresser wouldn't highly recommend Pantene...that's got to say something...

I would recommend any Neutrogena conditioning product..and I am HIGHLY recommending that you start taking a multivitamin with folic acid and biotin to grow stronger hair. GNC has a hair, skin and nails vitamin...not too expensive. Hair needs to also be nourished from the inside out. Any research out there regarding hair health and supplements always mention folic acid and biotin...it really works.

Also, try a heat protectant for your hair prior to styling. Give your hair a break on the weekends and treat it to a deep conditioning hair mask. Be gentle and kind and your hair will seriously thank you.

I noticed when I got my new curling iron that heated up really high, that my ends got very, very dry. So I reduced the level of the heat on the iron. I also use Fashionista Smooth & Shine to protect the ends before curling. I don't flat-iron however. Also, try Joico products or Aveda Damage Remedy and get your trims regularly. :)
