I'm wondering if this is a sign that my skin is clearing itself out, or that I am making my skin worse? It's mainly ALL blackheads and whiteheads. I use an exfoliant and daily cleanser, but I am terribly oily and use powder often throughout the day to stay matte.

I forgot to mention I am definitely not pregnant...these were recommended for the hair loss I have been experiencing. My doctor feels they "might" help with that situation.

You didn't mention whether you are just taking a pre-natal vitamin or if you are pregnant. If pregnant, my guess is that it isn't the vitamins, but is the hormones causing the break-outs.
If not pregnant, change vitamins. I couldn't take pre-natals when I was pregnant (for other reasons) so my Dr. switched me to 2 Flintstones chewables with iron per day.

It's not the prenatal vitamins---it's the pregnancy. The hormone shifts are causing the acne. It will get better as the pregancy continues.

You might want to consider dropping the powder. The extra oil is combining with the powder and causing the blackheads. The white heads are mostly oils from the hormone changes. Try just using a good face soap and water several times per day or a mild daily cleanser.

A similar situation is happening to me. I started prenatals 2 months ago. I am not pregnant. However, I am suffering from severe hair loss and last thursday, I broke out so bad, I never broke out that way as a teen!! It is horrible. I am going to see a dermatologist this week about it, but I really think it was the prenantals, since it has been the only constant throughout this ordeal.

decide whether you want nice hair or nice skin. i would stop the vitamins. ask the doctor to write you a prescription for a topical retinoid such as tazorac or the new one, ziana. these prescription medications should take care of the black/whiteheads you are having to deal with. the products you are washing with could be causing you to break out also. have you tried a low% benzoyl peroxide daily? i would use this along with the retinoid and just wash your face with cetaphil (gentle cleanser.) i only suggest all this as what you are doing is not working. good luck!

definite, it is totally hassle-free. it is the iron in the pill it is making you unwell. you could actually attempt to alter manufacturers, and spot if a different one works for you--some women locate that a undeniable style makes each and every of the version. you additionally must objective taking it precise earlier you pass to sleep, so as that any nausea outcomes take place on a similar time as you're asleep and you will no longer experience them. If that would not paintings for you, in spite of the undeniable fact that, then actually communicate the opportunity of taking chewable or gummy supplements with your ordinary practitioner. you could in all hazard ought to take 2 gummies in the placement of one prenatal, and doubtless supplement with another stuff. i could no longer take my prenatals the two--I took a chewable and a folic supplement my total being pregnant, and extra an iron supplement in my 0.33 trimester. i'm at present 38w3d, and doing super, and that i've got been getting each and every of the nutrients my toddler needs without making me unwell to my abdomen. sturdy success!
