I was talking with this woman I had just met. As the conversation ended, she said "would you like to go see a movie sometime?". It caught me off guard but I've been hooked on her ever since then.

I wonder the same question... Do men really have to pay? I don't see the problem in paying for my side of the date? Or does that bring the man's masculinity into question? Some men talk about how women are judging their every move, being overly assertive or to aggressive and you can get done for a sex crime but surely when a woman says no the decent guy knows no means no so there is no reason for the woman to feel the need to dial the police as a previous answer stated... A woman can pay for her side of the date but I bet a man would feel that takes away his masculinity and puts the woman in to much control, this would make any woman not feel the need to compensate for the guy buying her a meal by offering sex at the end... It's a real shame girls don't get asked on dates anymore

not true I am that kind of a girl. I think guys send to meany mixed signals. I am a very aggressive type. When I want something or someone I go after it. And just as I get confident enough to say something it is as if I sprung two heads and they always seem to head for the hills. I have no problems asking a guy out, but it is often said that it isn't a women's place. I've tried to get to that point but it always seems to work against me

Yes women dont ask men out at all because its a complete turn on for a guy when we ask them out and we dont want that just yet women are more so the innocent type we want you to be guessing the whole time so we wont ask you out we may give you a few hints that we are interested and thats it. So the next time a lady is flirting with you just keep in mind she could be giving you a hint that she is interested.

Why would a guy want the girl to ask him out! Its the guy that's suppose to chase the girl. That's the way life was designed. Look at the animals the male go after females. So get over you fears of being rejected!

Whatchu talkin' 'bout? As far as I know, it has been a long standing cultural tradition that the man courts the women. Maybe I'm ignorant, but I've never noticed anything that would make me think otherwise...

Perhaps insecurity has risen among women. We're so afraid that we'll be rejected that we don't dare ask anymore. But its not universal, I know several girls who take the initiative, though I am definetly not among them. We get hurt easily too, and many of us don't want to repeat the exeperience.

I don't ask guys out for 2 reasons:
1. Believe it or not, when it comes to that kind of thing...I'm shy and
2. With two jobs, two kids and being a single mommy.....I wouldn't have a clue when to ask for the date for.
