In spring of 1964 I went on a blind date with a girl who was "available" for a military ball I wanted to attend. We were both nice people who liked each other but it didn't work out. We had one follow-up date and that was it.

The next year I was married to my first wife, and we never had a blind date. Neither did my second and I. To the best of my recollection, that was the only blind date I ever had. Not a bad experience at all.
