The very best treatment for dry or ashy skin is African Shea Butter.....it's been used for centuries to treat black skin conditions.

there is a product called Emushea that will cure your problem. It's all natural made with Shea Butter and Emu Oil.

It sounds like you need to really up your daily water intake. Take it from someone who is HORRIBLE about drinking as much water as she should.....it really does make a huge difference. Also, to start the rehydrating process, mix grape seed oil (can be found at most grocery stores) and salt (regular table salt is fine, or you can purchase sea salt....it's a personal preference thing) and use all over your body to exfoliate while in the shower. When you get out, lightly pat yourself to dry off. This little miracle will have you feeling like a baby's bottom all over in no time. Happy hydrating!

when taking a shower use a sponge or loofa and along with a shower gel add a little baking soda and rub on skin gently,if a bath pour some into running water, and you will feel how soft it leaves your skin,if more moisture is need dont use lotions ,use products like body butters, they go on clear(use sparingly) u dont wanna be a grease ball

im black and have the same problem. trust me, use cocoa butter or a product called BAG BALM. also, before you get in the shower, put baby oil all over your body and let it sit for about 5-10 mins. get into the shower and scrub it off with a loofah and your dead skin will come off like magic (icky in the tub) but it works. apply the cocoa butter after the shower and you should be fine :)

I would definitely have to say Lubriderm: Advanced Therapy for extra dry skin or Aveeno: Ultra Calming daily moisturizer. They are both so nice and they will really help you. I use them every day. Hope I helped!
