benzoyl peroxide and slyicid acid are the two most popular medications, what I do is a wash my face and rub 5% benzoyl peroxide on my face at night with a oil-free lotion because when your face is dryed out, it causes a rebound affect of producing more oil and then ill wash my face in the morning and then use cleaning astringent with 2% slyicid acid and again use a oil-free lotion to keep my face from having to produce oil, this might not work right off but give it a while and drink alot of water and take in vitamin c.

Have your doctor write you a prescription. Many people have success with Retin-A Micro ( make sure it is micro, it absorbs better and burns less ) or if that doesn't work and you are willing to follow all the rules and risks involved with getting it, try Accutane.

I had chronic acne for 10 years. For me, laser (IPL) worked for me. I had tried every medication under the sun but had no long-term success until I had the IPL, also called photofacial sometimes. I found a picture of someone who had it here: http://www.slrnyc.com/Before_and_After_Intense_Pulse_Light_Treatment.htm

well, i have the same problem...i tried proactiv once, and i know its a little pricey, but it actually works! u just need to make sure u use a sunblock on ur face if u go outside. also, drink lots of water...water will make u healthier in general and clear your skin a little and is good for hair too. good luck!
