It happens so often ,it makes me ill.My daughter had a male worker torment her .One day my mother-in-law heard the guy, came and got my husband. My husband went to the store and called the guy out.The manager came out and when my mother-in-law told what she heard,it was crazy.
But the man worked part time ,his full time job was a grade school teacher. He walked up behind my daughter as she was talking to her grandmother and said"Can I pet your pussy".
My daughter was transferred to another store. The man was never punished. But he did have people walk him to his car every night--my husband warned him to watch his back.
Men need to leave girls alone.

You did the right thing by quitting. His girlfriend is most likely covering for him because of his reputation in the military. When you think 'National Guard' the terms sexual harassment, jail time, and pedophile don't exactly come to mind. As for the curiosity, I wouldn't recommend finding out. If you do want to know, take a friend with you down to the martial arts place and tell them to wait outside the office (I'll explain that part in a sec) then go in the office alone with the guy and ask him. If he does anything unacceptable, then scream for your friend outside. I'd also recommend your friend being a muscular guy, for intimidation reasons. Best Wishes

I know I have.
I worked at one place where the boss who was a woman said something like this about the guy who wouldn't leave me alone "oh that's just the way he is." I had to go to the company VP in order to get it to stop. Then he and the company head of HR met with me for an hour. All I can say is heads did roll.
I get some crap where I work now but its not the kind of thing that I went through before. I simply won't stand for it. I will stand up, be called a ***** and trouble maker if I have to.
Yes, If it got to bad I would quit but I would make sure they got fired too.

I worked at a Pizza hut and the young girls were harassing me so bad that I thought about quiting. I never thought as a guy I would have a problem with girls being over me. But since I was living for the Lord it was very aggrevating and the management did nothing. I eventually left.

I stuck it out though - it was only a temp job and I needed the money. I am quite a strong willed person and I told this person to back off. Fortunately he listened. I wasn't thrilled to stay there, but as I said, it was only temp.
thankyou for bringing this incident to mind. It happened before I became a believer and I don't remember that I've ever forgiven the person. I've done it now because of your post :)
blessings :)

It depend from person to person. However, If U allow or enjoy being harassed, then blame yourself for being not firm. If U dislike to be harassed, U must confront the person and tell them off " without fear " . This stance applies to everyone, including your boss. Otherwise, people will continue to harass U for being " cheap and EZ" target.

Not personally but A lady herein Honolulu was awarded 500,000 because she did quit her job because of it and
the judges are getting really strict with this because you should not have to leave your job because someone makes you feel uncomfortable. Before you quit though make sure report it and see if anything is done about it. He should lose his job for his action not you

I guess I'm ugly because I've never been in a situation like that...
Okay I take that back, I get snotty young boys gawking at me all the time and it's hilarious, but I prefer grown men who can pay a mortgage.

I've been harrassed that way almost my entire life. You just learn to deal with it. There are ways to make a man leave you alone. My favorite is my brothers.

But you have the right to report it, and they have to shape up, or they can get into a lot of legal trouble.
