Neither.
In my case I believe that I am in good company... it took knocking me down to get my attention so I would answer the "call". I seem to remember the story of a great man who found himself in a similar predicament on the road to Damascus.
Seriously though, it is not success or failure or being knocked down that brings one to belief in God. It is the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit.

Neither success or Failure, I just had a yearning for the Truth in this World.
The world seems so hopeless, and yet we all seem (as humans) to have an inborn hope to live for ever, I needed to understand Why that is, and what spirit keeps all of us from actually killing ourselves out of despair from the wicked, hateful world we find ourselves living in.
So I started my search for the truth...

There has never been a time in my life when I did not know Him. I was baptized as an infant and have been a follower all my life.
He has sustained me through my successes and failures (of which there are many LOL).

failure is something that can always lead us to god
success tend to do the opposite
in my life, my closeness to god is mainly the results of failures and god has helped me overcome the pains asociated with them

confident i think of we are able to yet as long as we provide each and all of the honour to God and dont attempt and take and take credit for what God has carried out-additionally in the journey that your talkin to a guy or woman who's unsaved they could say -confident I even have been sucessful additionally without God's help so we ought to continuously ask God to talk by using us extraordinarily if complicated questions are asked.

Neither. Just pain and more pain led me to look for something more than this life has to offer.
