I have been wondering for a while who said this. The quote is, "Hope for the best, and prepare for the worst." I am pretty sure that George W. Bush said it right after 9/11, but I am not entirely sure. For all I know, I might have subconciously thought it up, but if anyone recognizes this, could they let me know?

It is a proverb that has been around for centuries, which has now been adopted as the motto of the Pentagon.

That saying is WAY older than George W. It's also WAY to intelligent for him to say it, unless some one wrote it on a post it ... LOL I'm 55 & I've heard that said since I was a kid. Good Luck finding the answer to this.

Sorry I don't know either, but I am also pretty sure it was a president and it wasn't Bush jr. , but like I said I don't know.
