Monster Cable is a very well-known brand...but they have changed considerably since they first became the respected cabling company they were. Monsters have become what is known as 'blossomy' in the low end.
I would, and personally have, chosen a cleaner sounding cable for my system....

They are slightly more expensive...but they are 'hyperlitz' designed. Click the link above to read about hyperlitz.
HCM Audio - http://www.hcmaudio.com/hcm.asp - always has GREAT deals on Audioquest...
Good Luck and Happy Listening.

Quality matters, but you don't need to pay a fortune. As with much in life lowest price/quality has disadvantages but the most expensive rarely delivers improved function. Somewhere in the middle is the smart target.
The link is to a site that publishes reviews of cables -- in this case Blue Jeans 1694A/7710A Component Video Cables.
I provide this specific one because Blue Jeans are representative of a number of firms that make high quality cables at reasonable prices, and the review discusses what is and is not important fairly well and provides some links to further info.
To see other reviews click on the "Secrets cable review" graphic at upper right.
The second link is to a video on making your own quality audio cables. It doesn't cover the more complex types like DVI or HDMI, but the basic advice is useful in taking some of the mystery out.

Hi. Over the past 40 years i have had many brands of cable and the ones i have now are Van Den Hul from the Netherlands. They are the best i have ever used ,and yes you can till the difference between cables connected to high end audio. They are far superior to Monster .I am not sure if they are available where you live but if you can try to buy them. Are you after speaker cable or interconnects or both.?
Have a look at the links to see what i mean.

Buy monsters: if you have invested all of this money in a hometheater you might as well get the best. I did and you ARE paying for qualitiy, the live time warentee is just an added bonus. Monster cables normall have 2 or 3X the amount of insulation arround the wires so you don't get the interference form other components becuase cell phones, microwaves, cordless phones, every component in the Home theater system( dvd player etc..) these cables cause you to get a better Picuture and sound quality that what you would get out of Cheap cables

don't buy any cables in the price range of monster cables. they are a waste of money. you aren't paying for better quality, just the lifetime warranty.
