You are getting more and more used to crying, and the more you expose yourself to the emotional stimuli for this and tell yourself it's ok for you to cry, the more you perpetuate it.
Next time you see something emotional on tv and have the urge to cry, tell yourself 'it's not ok to cry'. Forget the psycho talk that crying is ok becuase it releases feelings -- this is only ok in response to normal stressful stimulus.
This is excessive so you have to tell yourself it's NOT ok. If you're at a movie and see something sad but don't want to cry in front of someone, you can stop yourself, right? Well, you certainly should be able to. Stop telling yourself it's ok because it isn't. You're overworking your tear ducts and they're now ready to go at the least stimulus.
Don't worry about the psychology of it since you aren't depressed. You can deal with it physically and with some emotional discipline. And you need to, for social reasons as much as anything else, otherwise you will become wierd and find certain social situations harder -- and that will make you depressed. Stop it before it starts.

Believe me there are many others out here exactly like you.
My ex used to make fun of me and tell me I would cry at a cartoon.
I get very emotional but I don't see anything wrong in releasing your feelings.

I am the same, have been since I was a child. I have depression now but I know that the 2 r unrelated. I think it just runs in the family with me. Nothing wrong with showing your emotions. Be you.

I think you are becoming more in touch with your own feelings and emotions and this allows you to understand other people's powerful emotions when they occur. This happens through the feeling of empathy which means the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another.

Is crying the only way you can let out the stress from day to day? That is why I cry all the time.

Maybe you are a sensitive or passionate person that feels emotions deeply. Maybe a chemical imbalance. but most likely it is you are at a time in your life when you are feeling emotions more passionately.
