You want God Almighty to help one... a human being who is already the culprit of his situation! Every soul atman is but a minuscule form of God Almighty. The form of a human being is the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle. Having crossed a cosmic journey of 7.3 million manifestations... the soul atman reaches the manifest stage of human life... what more can a lusting human form desire!

As we sow so shall we reap... nothing less or more! In the cosmic domain the doctrine of karma is dominating. If a human suffers... it is because of ones folly... everything is a result of a system that cannot err! If we gain... it is purely due to our efforts, if we lose... That also results from our negative approach towards life!

God Almighty is not the form of human being... it is not a single entity! It is hundred percent pure source of energy absolutely beyond the capture of senses! The temperatures inside God Almighty exceed trillions of degrees centigrade. It is how at the time of big bang... a new cosmos gets created! God Almighty... the cluster of all purified souls atmans in the Cosmos at a given point of time explodes with a big bang and lo... a new cosmos... a new life cycle gets created!

The whole cosmos runs like a mighty computer. It works on the same principle as "What You See Is What You Get"... meaning what we feed into the computer... the same returns to us processed! If we feed garbage... we cannot expect Wisdom to flow out! As expressed by you none is a victim of the system. What we always get to see is the end result... only if we had seen the working from the beginning to the end... all would have become clear to us!

Bill Gates is not a product of one-day. How many times in his childhood he must have eaten hell for breakfast... no one knows! How many suicides contemplated... one will never know! Success is a matter of years behind the curtain! If someone suffers today in life... it results from the negative karma performed much earlier! If one is lucky and wins a lottery... that too results from positive karma fructifying now! Why blame God any further! More on sufferings - http://www.vijaykumar.com/why_do_we_suffer.html

The bible says that he wishes that all be saved. If you read the bible you would know that he wants everyone to come to repentence, sometime God wakes you up in the night so that you could pray for that child that is going to be molested or the girl being raped. See it is for us to interecede for stuff like this. It is a matter of time the world will come to true repentence, Do you even know who Jesus is? Do You read? I was lost but now I am found, God restored some of my life and i have more that is to come. How many people teach there kid about him? People dont believe the way they should do you?

I agree with you. As to the testing comment; an all-knowing being does not need to test; he knows the outcome already. Either God is not all-knowing - which immediately destroys the basis for the Christian, Jewdaism, and Islamic God - or he is just plain mean in punishing people for doing things he knows they would do and had no chance of changing.

I noticed in an above argument that someone said that God did it to make us help each other. Are those millions of people suffering just for the benefit of the Christians who are not suffering to give them someone to help?

Another factor against the testing idea is what about the indigenous tribes affected by the Asian tsunami; they would have never heard of Christianity and it's God! Is it fair to test their belief, find they don't follow the beliefs of Christianity and so destroy them?

You could follow along with the point of view that God's just doing what he always does; killing millions for the evils of a few. If you follow that God though then you are really not fit for society.

It seems like that the children are the ones that pay for the sinful acts of the parents. Lets really look at it. Children pay for the action of their parents good or bad , one way or another. We are thought that all babies, all babies go to Heaven. There is noway that anybody could say that this life on earth is better than a life in Heaven. Did you ever stop to think that maybe there is other reason why things happen that maybe we are not seeing. I know for a fact that the only reason I have children is because God Blessed me with them. I thank him always for giving them to me and allowing me to keep them. If you don't take care of them, God may take them away from you.

It is often a common question "why does God let bad things happen"

I suppose if God is real he is just leaving the world alone to defend itself. It's mans fault (not the devils or whatever other scapegoat religion can muster up) the world is in shambles. I can't let man get off the hook that easy.

edit: Is God testing many of the countries in Africas faith by making things like AIDS, rape, diseases, and famine rampant? Why exclude an entire continent and let places like the US have it so good. (I mean besides whiping out those "heathen" Native Americans)

Why ask Q's on here BEFORE you've read the Bible? Simply put, God created the earth as 'very good'(Genesis 1:31), gave Adam and Eve instructions to avoid losing it (Gen. 2:16, 17), they disobeyed, preferring instead to believe the seductive lies of the satan-possessed serpent that they would become as gods (Gen. 3:1-7: the same lie peddled today by 'ascended masters' (actually demons) channelled by New Agers and Hindu gurus).
As a result God dishes out the punishments (Gen. 3:14-19) but including the the first promise of a Saviour to come from a woman who would defeat satan (3:15).
From then on man goes downhill, with the human death occurring not through old age but murder (Gen. 4:8). by Noah's day, man was completely evil in every way; deserting God for temporary feelings of pleasure (Gen. 6:5), so He sends a flood to destroy mankind (Gen. 7:1-8:22).
The flood auses the great sedimentary deposits we see globally today, which is why the sedimentary layers of uplifted regions are bent and folded, not cracked: they were still soft when the uplift took place.
Incidentally, the 'Geologic Column' so beloved of atheist geologists worldwide exists nowhere in fact. Indeed you will find Triassic above Cretaceous but below Jurassic, which in turn is found under other, supposedly older formations. Why? Because it occurred during the Flood.

But the New Testment informs us that as the church turns away from God, and as mankind's behaviour becomes increasingly hedonistic, tht true christians are to warn others of the imminent judgement, and also to share of the hope that is ours in Christ Jesus. If any Christian tells you the earth will continually improve until we have true peace before Christ's return, then they either don't know or don't believe Jesus' own words. Read Matthew 24:1-25:13; Mark chapter 13, and Luke chapter 21 for Jesus' own words regarding conditions from His own time in general, then specifically about the final ew years before His return in glory WITH not FOR His saints.
Jesus' words are supplemented in Revelation, and are the subject of prophecies by Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah and others in the Old Testament.
If you continue to disbelieve, then your doom is on your own head. Please, please, please accept Christ as your God, Lord and Saviour beore it's too late -- and NO ONE knows how long they have left.

A good question that is rarely asked and when asked does not attract the right answer. It says in the Bible that God does not and will not help anyone. Each person is tested and on the day of judgement, the good will go to paradise and evil will be destroyed. It is a simple plan.

Somewhere in the Bible is an answer, and it's something to do with the devil. Someone on answers gave an example which I found facinating and a good answer. My own feelings are this: If my child was being harmed I would protect it. If we are Gods children why does he not protect us??? My mind now tells me that the book was written by man, it's false.

I am not religous by any stretch of the imagination BUT I do believe that he won't give anyone more then they can handle in a given day. There are things, horrible things that I went through as a child that made no sense to me....it continued through adulthood. I would cry and ask why me. Now I know, that everything I have gone through has made me strong enough for the next challenge. It has prepared me to survive things that I might not have, had I not had all of those previous experiences.

Evil will always exist as long as the world as we know it exists. This is just a sad, cold reality. We can, however, help in large and small ways. Here is one example of something we can do- pray:

Matthew 19:13-15
13 Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." 15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.
