ya you could always do the wedding march but how typical is that. i am going to use this song for my wedding... it's sweet and has a touch of "soul" to it. you should check it out..... oh and it's a bit lengthy which is good... it provides time for the slow walk down the aisle plus and stalls that could arise. it's a great song. check it out!!!

When I hear the wedding march at a wedding it gives me goosebumps. It think that it's a good song to announce the bride. Maybe you can find a cd of it on violin or some other special instrument, then play a song that represents your love for each other as you walk back away from the pastor after the "I dos".
You should watch the movie Love Actually with Hugh Grant when the couple walks away they have a group singing All You Need it Love. It was very pretty.

A "traditional" choice, that can be used for any ceremony, including religious ones, is Canon in D.
This is what I am using. It is beautiful and formal. However, if you are not having a religious ceremony (mine is Catholic, and the music must be religious or classical), the sky is the limit.
Some people use "Storybook Love" from the Princess Bride, others use their favourite U2 song. The point is, there is no "right or wrong", and you can choose any song you like provided your officiant doesn't care.
If you search "processional wedding songs" you will come up with hundreds of hits.

"The Wedding Song" from Jesus Christ Superstar. It's very pretty, can either be sung or played on a piano, and most ministers will okay it.
Another thing you can do is talk to the minister of music or choir director. They have lots of creative ideas that aren't the same old thing.

You're probably too young to have ever heard of this one, but it was released in 1971. Many were substituting the wedding march for this one. It is known as "The Wedding Song" or "There is Love". It was quite accepted in religious ceremonies. One of your parents may remember it. You will have to look online to find the music to it. It is really beautiful.
THERE IS LOVE (Noel Paul Stookey)
- Wedding Song -
He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts.
Rest assured this troubador is acting on His part.
The union of your spirits here has caused Him to remain,
for whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name,
There is love. There is love.
Oh, a man shall leave his mother, and a woman leave her home.
They will travel on to where the two will be as one.
As it was in the beginning, is now until the end,
woman draws her life from man
and gives it back again and there is love.
Oh, there's love.
Well then what's to be the reason for becoming man and wife?
Is it love that brings you here or love that brings you life?
For is loving is the answer then who's the giving for?
Do you believe in something that you've never seen before?
Oh, there's love. There is love.
He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts.
Rest assured this troubador is acting on His part.
The union of your spirits here has caused Him to remain
for whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name
there is love. Oh, there is love.

I am walking down the aisle to "Songbird" by Fleetwood Mac. We BOTH love it!!!
Check it out...
I wish you a majical marriage.

I used "AT LAST" by etta james.. it was perfect and every time I hear it now It brings back memories from that day! How many times do you hear the wedding march on the radio???? I got married in my church and i expressed my desire to not use the wedding march and it was fine!! good luck and remember its YOUR DAY!!!! congrats and GODBLESS to you and your groom
