This is for an 11 year old, the Dr. suggested to feed him food with high contents of iron.

Any red meat such as beef, pork,and lamb. If he doesn't like liver, try liverwurst.
Also, a lot of high vitamin C foods such as leafy green veg, citrus fruit, and berries will help process the iron into the blood cells.
Is he taking a supplement? If not, he probably should be.

Brussel sprouts are excellent for an iron deficient person no matter what age they are. My wife has to eat them to control her anemia. The only problem is that they stink when you cook them and most people do not like them.

What about an Iron Supplement??? Most foods that are very high in Iron, are not very appealing...
