My voice always sounds like I have a cold. It's ruining my singing. I think it might have been because my chorus teacher put me in soprano instead of alto and my voice cracked a lot. Would a nose job help to fix my voice so that I have more air flow? PLEASE HELP ME I'M DESPERATE!!!

the thing is.....I have been talking like this since I was 10 and I'm 15 now....is there any medications? Should I sue her? I mean, it's not fair. she put me there even though i begged her not to. my voice is naturally high, and there were no tryouts when i got there.

Just try some different sounds and see where that leads you.

No nose job.
But do see an ENT ( ear nose throat doctor) to see if you have polyps in your adenoids. This is something little kids suffer from, and usually clears up by the time puberty is over.
This can lead to some pretty drastic surgery called defenestration. ( they basically unzip the skin off your face, thoroughly clean out the insides, and put you back together.)
The famous soprano Dame Joan Sutherland had to have it done because her sinuses became so blocked she could barely breathe. It is difficult, and there is absolutely NO guarantee that it will solve your singing problem.
After that unnecessary worry has been checked off the list, try getting some singing lessons with a real live teacher. Your chorus teacher may not have enough savvy to attend to your specific needs.
Best wishes and keep on singing

You just need to keep practicing.
A nose job is pretty extreme and seemingly unnesscessary.
You just need to continue singing and perhaps try different styles. Try another voice coach, another part, and different styles of music. A lot of Broadway songs have nasaly singers like Guys and Dolls for instance. That could very well just be your voice but I doubt very much that it was any fault of the part you were put into when you were younger.

You have overstressed your vocal cords way to long.
Give it some rest.
Do not do the Soprano anymore:you can't do that with anatural ease anymore.
No noise job will help you.
In a couple of weeks you'l be just fine.
Sky.

there's a comparatively elementary workout which you're able to do for increasing resonance. forget approximately the vocal cords completely. I propose you utilize them yet this easy technique would not tension them in any respect. Many opera singers use this trick. it is so elementary and you will word of a commonplace distinction in in elementary terms some weeks of prepare: Hum. yet bounce the hum, as hum hum hum hum hum................................. carry the 5th hum for 30 seconds. that's fairly calm and gentle and occasional. no longer very loud. bounce 4 rapid hums - then an prolonged one for 30 seconds. try this everytime you could. you could exchange key in case you desire, however the prepare makes a huge distinction. prepare in a small room or stairwell once you could to hearken to the echo you're making.

no nose job.
what you do need is a good voice teacher...
to help you find your vocal range.
are you singing properly?
breathing properly?
pitch the sound toward to roof of your mouth...
you might be relaxing too much..and singing from the back of your throat..which would give it the sound of a cold.
project..your voice..sing outward.

correct and committed practice would do. some alto can develop to reach the notes of a soprano.
