This requires some serious self-analysis. First of all, you need to ask yourself what your qualifications are. Are you applying for work you're capable of doing? Do the jobs you're applying for require specialized skills you don't have? Then you need to list what your skills actually are. That can include skills you have learned at other jobs as well as qualities that would lend themselves to different kinds of work. Are you highly motivated? Do you love being around and talking to people? Are you confident talking to strangers? Are you a good organizer? Do you have good telephone skills, etc. What are your interests and how can your interests interpret themselves into a job? Once you've analyzed what you are good at, look through the Yellow Pages for businesses in your geographic area and ask yourself what you could do for those companies. Don't wait for a help-wanted sign. Take the initiative and contact those companies that interest you. There a many books out there that can give you tips on business etiquette and how to apply for a job and how to interview. Also, don't just fill out an application and walk away and expect them to come after you. Ask who will be reviewing your application and when. Then, follow up with that person, directly, after a few days to ask when it would be possible to come in to discuss your application. You're going to have to do some work to get a satisfying job. The world isn't going to come to you. Lastly, why are you no longer employed? Is the reason you left your last job part of the reason people aren't interested in you? Red flags for employers includes such things as an applicant who says she didn't get along with people at her last job or was bored or had other issues that either caused her termination or forced her to leave. Employers like people who are already employed. It means someone else wants them so they must be a good prospect. You will have to overcome this by taking the initiative in your job hunt and not being whiney or too quick to blame others for any shortcomings. P.S. There's no dishonor in working fast food and it might show another employer you're not too proud to do what it takes to bring in an income.

There are several questions that you did not answer, age, experience, education, have you ever worked before.
If you have no experience you can expect to start at the bottom of the ladder which means the bottom of the pay scale. Go to the unemployment office and look over the work openings { I just don't like the word "job"}. From looking at your last sentence I can see why, read it very carefully and think about it.
I'm 19/f/FL **** I have to assume that you are 19 years old, a female and live in Florida. You are still young, have you thought of going to a trade school or a Junior Collage.

If you would work anywhere, then there are tons of places to apply for jobs. Try Careerbuilder.com or Monster.com to see what's out there.

You need to make finding a job your full time job. Don't back down, call call call until you get an answer from them.

This is your time to experiment with jobs. If there are qualifications that you don't have but you know you could do it, apply! You never really know what they are looking forward until you talk to them-they might see your potential! Don't be afraid-just be strong and aggressive-you can do this!

how about I just give you some advice just keep putting in applications and call back to check on them if this is for college you might have to settle for a fast food/ restaurant job
remember there is no bad job only better jobs. take what you can get keep applying and keep calling back. Take a restaurant job because you can always still apply at other jobs
and if my job offer is appealing then OK sounds good lol (i am pretty sure it dose not) then email me lol

Not sure if you are interested but you could always try Avon so you could have your summer free. Its only $10 to start and your commission is 50% so you could make money right away. I had the same problem that you had 2 years ago before I started Avon and I haven't had to go back to work yet. This is not get rich quick but I make a good extra income for me and my husband that its like I'm working part time already without actuallly going out there to work

The job market is tight right now so finding the type of job that you want can be tough at times. Just keep treading the pavement and submitting applications and eventually something will come your way.

Good Luck !

The question is what type of jobs are you applying for. Are they out of your league? In other words, do you actually have the experience in that type of work? If you don't that is why you won't receive any calls. There are tons of malls in Florida (also where in Florida you reside.) Have you tried that? Or you can apply for low level office work like a receptionist.

Why not try temporary agencies to get jobs? You never know you might turn a temporary job into a permament one. I used to work with temporary agencys to get jobs. A few of them do offer free software training if I remember right.

what do you really like to do? concentrate on that and see what jobs are in that field. then you can go to college or tech school and have a career that you really enjoy, instead of being stuck on some dead end mcjob. good luck!
