How about doing some laundry? vacuming? If he already has chores how about helping with outside activities? If he doesn't have chores pay him for doing things above and beyond the normal scope of responsibilities. He is young so nothing too nutty

are you planning to pay him yourself?
vacuum, help w/dinner
mow your lawn, wash the car, rake leaves in the fall, weed garden, walk the dog, tutor a younger kid(if he's smart).

if you aren't planning to pay him, raking leaves for neighbours is good too.

He can also clear out his room and have a mini garage sale!

PS i made $80 from my dad doing garden work, and quite a bit of money last summer tutoring french.
