Mennonite, Amish, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Quakers could use their religious beliefs to "opt out" when drafted.

Quakers have historically used it, typically offering to serve in VA hospitals rather than join the military.

Ironically, Nixon was a Quaker (although apparently not a devout one).
