Hi Manhattan,
That is a legitimate question. Personally, the answer is, unequivocally, yes. There is a bunch of good reasons already given - ready Holly S's - very thoughtful. The character of Christ shown is impeccible and to know Him is our goal in life. It was written by many authors in different locations and in different time spans, yet all the prophecies foretold have come true, exactly.
I do detect, however, some skepticism by your question. You should read the Gospel of John in the New Testament. Its all about believing.
God bless....

Yes, I believe all of it. Because...
- So many prophecies have come true. The Bible is the only "sacred writing" that has had such perfect predictions.
- The Dead Sea Scrolls help prove that hardly any of the Bible has been changed. The words that have been are very small and minimal. Obviously, mistakes when the scribes were copying it.
- There are other secular history sources that speak of some of the same things mentioned in the Bible.
- There are statements in the Bible that are consistent with science. For example Leviticus 17:11, this verse speaks about the importance of blood in the body. William Harvey didn't discover that blood circulation is the key factor of life until 1616. The book of Leviticus was probably written before 1400 BC.
- Isaiah 40:22 speaks of the earth being round. People used to believe it was flat, but now we have discovered that it's actually round.

- Lee Strobel's books are very helpful, if you want more information.

I hope this helped!

Yes. I believe everything in the 1611 kings james Bible. That is the true inspired word of God. The truth from the beginning, to the end. There are no lost books in this Bible. It comes complete. People need to RE_read the Bible, not RE_write it. The Bible is the written word, and Jesus is the living word.

No. I recognize many stories in the Bible as parables.

Definition of a parable:

"a usually short fictitious story that illustrates a moral attitude or a religious principle" (Merriam Webster)

In context, yes.

Remember the Bible sometimes quotes unbelievers and heathans. Even Satan.

No,i denounce the entire hebrew scripture as a pack of lies and myths and recipes for genocide; as for the Gospel it needs to be santitized of obvious interpolations linking Christ to the jewish "messiah a king in the line of david who will make all nations kneel before israel"
