I consider myself an athesist, but I am intrigued as to how one person can influence so much faith, belief and almost command so much respect when somebody like him in modern society would be considered a deviant.

Recognising that he alledged to have been persecuted for being his actions, if he was a victim of the system, then why has his name stayed whereas others have faded from history for their actions and beliefs.

Jesus would not ever have been known outside his native area had it not been for Constantine. Once he converted to Christianity, it became the official religion of the powerful Roman Empire and so spread eventually to the West.

because Jesus is true and many people really feel His love and blessings. Every day He's giving you the chance to open your heart and accept the faith. But He could not force you, that's way He's so great.
Lie is not long standing, and Jesus is whit us for a loooong time....so it must be true...
It's hard to belive today, there is always someone who will judge you, so I pray a lot and I'm just trying to be a good person.
:) bye

Because with Jesus comes results. For anyone who has called upon the name of Jesus they know this. With religions that worship anything other than Jesus ask them the miracles they have seen or heard of. I doubt you will hear about Buddah coming in and changing someones life around and helping to them to feel peace. At least I have not heard of it. With Jesus though you hear countless story after story of the lives he has come into and helped and changed for the better. For christians that defend Jesus above all else it is because they experienced the power of him in their lives. We do not just hope he exsists, we know. Just like when I take a breath of air my body feels the results afterwards. Jesus gives results!!

He is so cool isn't He. When He knows you and you know Him you just want to tell people how lovely He is, and that He is alive, because God is real and Jesus has shown the Father to us, and the Holy Spirit lives in us. God lives in the heart of each believer and this is hard for atheists to understand because it has never happened to them. You can go to church all your life and pray and pray and do all the good in the world, but unless you have been born again, you will never KNOW Jesus only what you read about Him.

Joh 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
Joh 3:2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Joh 3:4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh 3:7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
Joh 3:8 "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
Joh 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, "How can these things be?"
Joh 3:10 Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?
Joh 3:11 "Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.
Joh 3:12 "If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
Joh 3:13 "No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.
Joh 3:14 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
Joh 3:15 "that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19 "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20 "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
Joh 3:21 "But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."

Jesus did not live in modern society.
If Isaac Newton lived in the modern age nobody would accredit him with the discovery of gravity.
Jesus was the right person with the right message in the right place at the right time.

He did miracles and he was for the weak and the poor and said all the right things at all the right times. He didn't care what people thought of him...he just wanted to save humanity from its self. How would the world not embrace such a person.
