I think it would be funny for the guests to see something different. But I also think since you probably don't always wear sandles a back up ring for the finger wouldn't hurt. Good luck with that one and have fun.

I wear a silver ring on the second toe of my left foot as a wedding ring. I also have a normal finger ring too.
It was actually a gift from a friend who was born in India. As a gift she gave me a set of six rings (3 for each foot) that I wore for the wedding. I understand it is common to do this at weddings in India. They are called bichiya.
I kept all 6 on for about a week but afterwards just kept the one I mentioned. I remove it once in a while but after 3 years I hardly feel it anymore.

Too cool! I have a beautiful bridal set ,but prefer wearing a wide band instead. You really do want to wear a ring on your finger too, general purposes. This month is our wedding anniversary, I'm going to get myself a wedding ring for my toe too. Thank you and God bless you.<><

I wouldn't do it but I do wonder what people who have no hands, due to an accident or something, do about wedding rings? Toe ring would make perfect sense in that case.

Yes, that would be disrespectful. The foot is one of the dirtiest places on the body and you're going to put your grandma's wedding ring on it? Buy a toe ring made specifically for your toes please! Imagine how your grandmother would feel to know that her wedding ring is on her granddaughter's foot...

Maybe...but hey! It's your wedding, do what you want. If you want a toe ring, go and get one! Hell, a girl only gets married once (hopefully) so do it! It would actually be more unique for your guests to see! And do what a girl wants! If the toe thing fits your personality better than the finger, go for it, hun!

Just buy a nice toe ring, but still go with the traditional ring on your finger.

well if you aren't as traditional as other people, than no, that would bem fine for you! But if you are one of those people that likes a total fance vanilla cake with a proper white normal wedding dress, it might be a little out of your element. But if you are willing to take that risk, go on! :)
But I would rather get a ring because...
1.) you cant show off toe-tings in cold weather with boots and stuff.
But do whatever you please. Start a new tradition! If you love toe rings, go for it!
Good luck!

Odd, cos nobody will see it. If I was your man I would be wondering why you dont want a ring people can see.
And the ceremony will be interesting, that romantic moment when he slips the ring onto your......toe!!!
How does he feel about this?
Get a ring by all means for your toe, but I would suggest a traditional one as well
